After the Storm.

Callum carried up back up from the storm shelter and I walked back to my dorm. It was late and I had class in the morning. I did not really want to talk since I was tired. But I was SOL because Max was in my room.

"Shit," I said quietly since Max has not talked to me since we broke up. Oh, we broke up, I just remembered that.

"You okay?" He asked, standing up once I entered the room. No I am not okay. I hate thunderstorms and he knew that. But hey, I don't have to explain myself to him anymore.

"Yeah, I am fine, how did you get in here and why?" I was honestly curious.

"Come on, Serena. I am here to see if you are safe. You cannot honestly think that I am cheating on you. And the power went out so it was easy to open a door..."

"Well you cheating on me would explain a lot, you have been so distant." I shot back.

"I care about you and I wanted to know how you are. I miss you."

"Well our relationship is kind of fucked right now so if you don't have any other reason for being here than I would like to ask you to leave. I have class in the morning and it is super late. I am not in the mood."

I had nothing to say back to him after that. I motioned for him to leave. He opened the door and Callum was standing on the other side of it. He looked stunned. I rolled my eyes.

"Can I help you?" Max asked. The irritation in his voice was hard not to notice.

"Sorry wrong room," Callum said quietly. I felt bad but was really not in the mood to explain my entire life story to him. I was crabby and frustrated at the moment. Also incredibly confused to why Max was even here.

Max stomped off down the hall and I went to lay down. I felt bad about Callum but again I was not in the mood.

"So you have a boyfriend?" Callum was back in my room and asked cautiously.

"I would not call him that anymore but.." I shrugged, not knowing what to say. I felt bad that he had to find out this way. I honestly did not know what to say to him at all.

Max had no right to be here anyway. I thought about what he said, that he was not cheating on me. Was this just another one of his many games to check my loyalty? I don't think I have any left for him anymore.

"Oh, well have a good night I guess," He stated as he left the room. I wanted to punch myself for playing it off like that. But I honestly did not know what Max was to me. We broke up and that is that, but then why would he come here and say that stuff?

"Callum," I called after him down the hallway but he was already gone.

I was beyond frustrated now.

I went to his dorm room and knocked on the door. Derrek answered it.

"What's up?" He asked. He must of been sleeping.

"Sorry to bother you but have you seen Callum?" He shook his head but let me in. I sat down on the bed opposite of Derrek's.

"No, I thought he was with you," He said back to me, yawning.

"No, my ex showed up and it scared him off. I have no idea why he got so mad but he did and it is not like I have his number or anything."

Derrek fumbled for his phone and dialed Callum's number. After a couple rings, there was an answer.

"What?" I could hear his angry voice on the other end.

"Hey man, you got some girl here who keeps knocking on the door to see you. You better come back to the room to satisfy here with your presence." Derrek gave me a wink. I laughed but I hope that my mate was not finding it funny that some random girl was here to see him.
