≽ My Dream Come True ≼

THE DAY FINALLY CAME WHEN I COULD SAY 'TODAY WE ARE LEAVING FOR my dream come true.'

I was so excited that I couldn't help smile all day long at school, but nobody noticed because it was a Friday and everyone was happy. It was really hard not to tell my two friends, Amber and Alvin, what I was doing after school. Amber and Alvin were best friends long before I came to this school, they just At lunch Amber did ask,

"Why are you smiling so much?" and I said,

"I just can't wait to get home because Mom has a surprise for us." and smiled again,

"Come on Imani, you don't smile that much unless you're going to see Myles."

"You know me too much, yes the Hicks are coming over," Hick is Myles last name, "but I don't know what we're doing," I say quickly, raising my hands in a surrendering gesture, but I couldn't help to keep a sloppy smile off my face. Amber just shrugged and Alvin just stuffed the rest of his sandwich into his mouth.

After recess the day seemed to last forever. Just when I thought that going to bathroom for the fourth time -in that hour- was getting weird... the day ended. I gladly packed up my backpack -which was completely empty, leave be the few stray papers- and waited until the heard of kids went by, said goodbye to my teacher and walked out the door. Waiting outside the school was Mom waiting for me, I'm usually the last one out, I gave her a hug and threw my backpack into the back and jumped in the front seat.

"How was your day Imani?" Mom asks,

"Good," I say trying not to show my huge smile.

"Imani, you have the goofy look on you face again, what's going on?" man, Moms are so good at seeing through their kids, especially me...

"Nothing, I'm just really excited for the weekend, do you think we could see the Hicks?"

"Maybe, I don't know, we just saw them like a week ago honey."

"Mom!" exclaimed Haven, "today Eli said 'shut up' to Mrs. Krueger!" thanks Haven, Mom was on to me.

When we got home I grabbed pair of Earpods, my phone and went outside to sing my heart out. I had both Earpods in when Myles decided to sneak up on me. He grabbed my shoulders, I yelped, and elbowed him in the stomach. He crumpled down to the ground gasping for air. I yanked out my Earpods and towered over him, "Serves you right for scaring me! Why would you think that's funny?!?" my anger quickly melted away, I grabbed his hand and helped him up, "consider yourself lucky, if it would have been Jaxx or Trey they would still be on the ground,"

Myles laughed, "I'll take that as a warning," I nod smiling.

"Hey, before I forget to ask where are we staying?" I ask while grabbing some blades of grass out of his hair.

"Will it kill you if I didn't tell you? I was hoping to surprise you... but if you really want to know than I can tell you..." he sighs,

I groan, "Fine! I can wait 'till tonight,"

"You are totally unpredictable. Do you know that Imani?"

"Yes I do," I respond pulling him into a kiss. His kiss was gentle, but protecting, I liked it. He was the first to pull away, "You need to go get ready for tonight," he gently said brushing the lose hair off my forehead, "you'll need to double check to make sure everything is there and ready to go,"

"Alright, fine." I mumble hugging him, the sun was starting to set and I could see my Grandpa pull into the driveway, it had to be somewhere around 5 o'clock, "alright I better go and help Mom and the others get ready for dinner, see you tonight," I stood on my tiptoes and kissed Myles' forehead, he gently kissed my forehead back. I hugged him and he disappeared in my arms. 'Really you have to always leave at that time?'
