jesus, where do we begin with valentines day? the fact that it was started because of a roman execution of a man named valentine or the fact that it has been exploited by businesses for money?
i swear i sound like the most single person in the world but i actually have manz. these are just true ok
valentines day is cute, that's for sure. i can't sit here and say that i wouldn't get anyone anything or appreciate receiving stuff just because of stupid corporations. that ain't it. just saying that valentine's day has a different level of importance depending on the person.
for example, i don't see it as a huge deal. my parents are no way in love but it's almost obligatory to get your partner something on that day. my father gets my mother flowers and shit even though it's so painfully obvious they lost feelings for each other. i'd rather be shown that i'm loved by my s.o over being showered in materialistic shit for one day.
anyway, RANT OVER.
if you wanna get your girl something, you decide what to get her.
if y'all are dating, chances are you know her the best. either that or you go to her friends for advice. if she's been talking your ear off of v-day, she probably wants something. i don't think you need someone telling you that for you to know.
good, cheap gifts are the basics. chocolate, flowers, a teddy bear or anything in between. whatever you get her just throw in a card of reasons you love her and bam.
