*** Author's note***

Future lemon? Before I start with the next part, I wanted to ask my readers if they would like a lemon part or two in this series. Fair warning that if I do, it would be very descriptive and detailed and cause many blushes. I'd also have to switch this story to mature content if I do. I'm not sure what my readers like, so I thought I'd ask first. If you don't want to read a lemon episode then it wouldn't hurt to skip it. Not sure when it would happen yet if I do it. If you absolutely do not want a lemon then please message me and let me know. If you do want one, comment "Aye!" at the end of this part. If I get enough "Aye's" then I'll put a lemon in later on. :D

Here's the story!

It is the day before the knight's initiation and the castle is bustling with excitement for the upcoming event tomorrow. To many people in the kingdom, the initiation is like a festival that happens each year. All the nobles who have descended from the dragon's bloodlines come to the palace to watch their families fight for the right to serve the royal family. The city has many merchants and travelers come to town to sell goods and watch the initiation. Lucy is wandering around the castle, looking for Levy. Each time she passes someone, they look her way, probably hoping to get a glimpse of what is under the veil. Lucy walked past a group of five young girls who seemed to be all nobles. They were whispering among themselves.

"Have you seen the group of guys who will be going through the initiation tomorrow?"

"Ugh, they're dreamy."

"I wonder if Sting will finally notice me?" One of them said hopefully.

"I don't care for Sting much anymore, I mean, have you seen the new guy?" Lucy stopped walking.

The girls continued, "you mean Natsu? The things I would do if he were mine!" A couple of them squealed.

Lucy's fists clenched, her muscles went taut and her face went hot.

One of the girls sighed and said, "maybe I'll get to talk to Natsu before his trials start and give him a good luck kiss."

Suddenly one of the girls noticed Lucy and her eyes widened. "Princess! Hi!" She said, breathless. With that the girls each looked at Lucy, awestruck. Each of them curtsied. They wore faces of horror and wonder. One of them even started blushing; it was the one who mentioned kissing my Natsu. My Natsu?

Lucy breathed deeply and reluctantly unclenched her fists. Then she nodded, not saying anything, and continued to walk past them, glad that this veil was covering the anger that she was sure was on her face. Why am I so angry? She couldn't help but to think about that girl kissing Natsu and her blood boiled even more.

Trying to forget about the girls, Lucy continued her search for Levy. The halls were becoming crowded and the stares at Lucy started to get annoying. Not to mention it was getting hot under Lucy's veil. Where could she be? Lucy already looked in the library, kitchen, and the laundry room but Levy wasn't anywhere to be found. Lucy turned around to head back to her room, nearly running into a pretty girl with deep scarlet hair.

"Sorry abou- oh princess!" the girl said as she grabbed Lucy to keep her from falling, then bowed low. "I'm so sorry, princess!" Lucy had never seen her before, but the girl was wearing the uniform of a palace guard, yet she isn't a noble because Lucy sensed no dragon slayer magic in her. It's very rare for there to be people guarding the royal family directly unless they had at least a small amount of dragon slayer magic. She must be powerful.

"It's my own fault," Lucy said. "Please excuse me."

Lucy turned around before the girl could say anything and walked away. She was starting to sweat under her veil and she was feeling lightheaded. Lucy felt more eyes on her. Her heart quickened and her nerves stood on end. She felt overwhelmed by stares. I need to escape from this. With that thought, Lucy went into the very next room, which was a storage room for old books that didn't make it to the library and quietly closed the door behind her.
