A/N - so! There's a bit more swearing in this one than usual? Sorry :/ anyways, I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of y'all reading this rn because that means you (most likely) got through the other one-shots! Woo! I've just been so busy recently, and I've been falling back into the Voltron and Durarara!! fandoms, that I haven't been focusing as much on BNHA as I should be. Oops :/

AnYwAys, I hope you keep enjoying reading these one-shots as much I enjoy writing them!

Halloween.

The best holiday of the whole year.

And it was today.

Unfortunately, Halloween not only means kids dressing in ridiculous costumes and knocking on your door, it also means villains dressing in ridiculous costumes and attempting to burn down the city.

Which resulted in Shouto begrudgingly working overtime.

Again.

Goddammit.

The work itself wasn't too bad, just patrolling for a little longer than usual. He still had paperwork to do, but it could wait until the next day when he wasn't aching to get back home.

God this sucked.

His husband was probably sitting there, anxiously awaiting his return so they could drop into bed together. All Shouto needed was just, for once, to get some goddamn sleep.

But no, the agency he worked for required him to be out and about all the way to midnight.

'It can only be you!!1!!!!1!' They insisted, which Shouto knew was bullshit. There were plenty capable heroes working there along side him. The agency just wanted the publicity they would get if they sent him instead of anyone else.

Of course, Izuku got the entire damn day off. He was still recovering from a persistent villain that hadn't realized who he was against.

That day was partially hilarious and partially terrifying. They both had a good laugh over it in the emergency room afterwards though.

He missed his husband.

As the hours flew by and he took down phony villains, he couldn't help but just keep thinking about the fluffy-haired man, letting his thoughts roam whenever he was alone.

God, he couldn't wait to get back home, change into his pajamas, and collapse into bed.

The further into the night it became, the more resentful of his agency Shouto grew. Seriously, who the hell do these people think they are?! He's the only one working right now! What the fuck?

But, just like everything, his overtime came to an end.

Hero Frostfire- Report back to base immediately

He sighed in relief as the message came through into his pager. (can't they make better technology? pagers stopped being high-class in the 1990's! )

Complaining aside, he was glad to finally be able to just go home. Not having seen Izuku for that long was driving him crazy. It had been over 19 hours, and he was so fucking tired.

Maybe it was time for him to start his own agency, work his own hours. This shit was getting ridiculous.

He dismissed that thought as he loaded his gear into the car, then got into the driver's seat.
