"That's complete bullshit and you know it."

"Shut up!"

Josh:

I went up to Lexi's room to see how things were going, when I heard yelling. I opened the door to see what all the commotion was about, and was met with quite an interesting sight,my little sister smacking Tyler with a pillow, trying to get him to leave, but given her strength, that didn't work out for her. I wonder why he's not stopping her... I decided to step in and held her back, preventing her from trying to beat him up.

"Lexi... apologize please," I spoke as if speaking to a small child.

"No," she pouted, crossing her  arms and stomping her foot like a small child.

Tyler stood there trying not to laugh at her childishness.

"It's fine. I understand. But understand that it's gonna take a lot more than that to get rid of me Adams," he spoke, once he regained his composure, before walking out the door and heading for his place.

"Lexi..."

*silence*

"Lex, I know you can hear me."

* no reply*

"*sigh* What's going on? - and don't say it's nothing because you and I both know that's not true."

"NOTHING'S GOING ON! EVERYTHING'S FUCKING AMAZING!" she shouted before angrily storming off.

"Lexi. Come on. We're gonna have to address this at some point," I spoke, calling after her.

Just then, Nate came home from work and she immediately jumped into his arms the second he walked through the door, catching him completely off guard.

Nate:

I came home to one heck of a surprise, Lexi jumping onto me, wrapping her legs around my waist and clinging to me like a koala. I gave Josh a quick what the fuck look, to which he gave me the I'll explain later look.

I held her in my arms as I made my way to the couch and sat down.

"Lexi... what's going on?" I asked softly.

"Nothing," she mumbled, hiding her face.

I gave Josh a look, and he returned the look before saying, "I'll tell you later once she's asleep. I think she's just cranky because she's tired."

I nodded in aknowledgement, knowing how she could get when she's tired.

"How're we going to get her to eat?" I quietly whispered.

"I don't know, maybe same way as yesterday."

"Okay. Lexi-"

"Shhh... let her rest, I'll get dinner ready."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"But you're prone to starting kitchen fires..."

"Don't worry, I got this."

"Okay then... there's a fire extinguisher under the sink if you need it."

"Okay."

With that, he left for the kitchen to make god knows what. I swear, that boy was not meant to set foot in a kitchen... ever. If it weren't for me, those two would be living off of takeout and leftovers.

I looked down and saw Lexi, out cold, on my lap, so I picked up my phone and played some dumb games to pass time.

Josh:

I grabbed a pot and filled it with water to boil, having settled on making pasta. Should be easy enough right? What could possibly go wrong...?

I put the water to boil on the stove and decided to get the meat cooking while the water boiled. I took out another pan, placing it on another burner before placing the thinly sliced meat onto the pan. While waiting for the meat to cook and water to boil, I decided to go into the fridge and grab some vegetables to chop up. Unfortunately, I failed to notice the boiling water behind me, so by the time I turned around, all the water had fully evaporated and the pot was burning, not to metion the pan with the meat on it had caught on fire.

"Shit," I cursed under my breath before going to go grab the fire extinguisher, not before turning off both burners first, and put the fire out and tried to make the pot look less... burned? Once the situation was all under control, I decided to clean up my mess.

"Pizza it is," I muttered to myself before pulling out my phone and placing an order before returning to the living room seeing Lexi out cold on Nate's lap.

"So, what's for dinner?"

"Pizza."

"Let me guess, you started another fire and burned something?"

"Yup. Apparently if you leave water boiling on the stove long enough, it can also burn."

"You truly are something else Josh Adams."

After that, we talked for a while until the food arrived.

The doorbell soon rang and I got it, paying the pizza delivery guy and took the food inside, placing it on the table. That's when a very important piece of information hit me. Pizza plus Lexi haven't always gotten along. Shit, I muttered to myself as I made my way back to the couch and took Lexi from Nate so he could unwind a little before we ate. I hope this doesn't end up being totally disastrous. God please help us...
