★ Leah's POV ★

'Look at that hottie.' Carls started making flirty faces at whoever was she talking about behind us. 'I think he's interested in you, Ris.'

'Yea right, Carls. I'm not even looking up.' she said, uninterested. It's a Saturday afternoon and we're at an ice cream shop in the mall. We just sat down after buzzing in and out from the shops in the mall.

'Because maybe he does want to look at your face. Look up.' Carls rolled her eyes.

'Gee, OK.' Iris sighed, stopping whatever she's doing on her phone and looked up to face Carls.

'Don't look at me. My 12 o'clock.'

Iris did look but her hair was covering almost half of her face. Iris is effortlessly pretty. She has the looks, the brains and a nice personality, any guy would like her. Even with her hair in a messy bun and her bright blue eyes hidden behind those glasses, no wonder she can attract that guy they are talking about.

Curious and not so discreetly, I looked behind me. Three girls openly ogling at him, why not? Carls and Iris are seated together while I'm alone sitting facing them. 'Who?' I asked Carls. I don't see any cuties anywhere. The shop is almost empty.

'She's talking about the barista.' Iris sighed.

'Oh.' I said, extending the word. Carls is right and he is beyond cute. He's hot. He definitely pulled off his black polo uniform, tattoos peeking under his shirts on his arms. Raven black hair, small eyes and the perfect set of teeth with his dimpled smile.

Iris removed the hair covering her face and looked at the cute barista. She glanced at him for a while, a small smirk fighting her lips then averted her gaze looking seemingly "uninterested". We all know that right here, she's playing hard to get. She definitely attracted him. I know that because even though Iris is like the goody two shoes, studies before cuties kind of girl, she's into the "Bad Boys". Nevermind the phrase "opposites attract"  because she does.

I looked at Iris and the Barista look at each other. My gaze darting back and forth from the both of them until the Barista was interrupted by a customer.

'Well?' Carls asked.

Iris shrugged, the smile fighting its way her face but Iris' will is stronger, her hard-to-get face took over.

'Let's go order.' Carls said, obviously planning something under her sleeve. She no warningly pulled Iris out her seat.

"Wait! Carls-" Iris exclaimed.

'My usual please!' I said before they disappear to order. I want to have my ice cream too.

▽ Iris' POV △

'Excuse me.' Carls said, looking for someone to serve us, specifically the hottie. Besides, he's the only one working behind the counter.

The cute barista was busy in cleaning the cups when Carls called.

'Uh, s-sorry.' he stuttered, almost dropping the cup.

Oh boy.

'What can I get you, ladies?' he smiled charmingly at me then at Carls.

'I'll have an iced green tea please and a salted caramel ice cream with chocolate syrup-' Carls was interrupted by her phone ringing. 'Sorry, I gotta take this call. Iris, I'll pay you later.' I thought she was setting me up again but her face held a genuine apology. I nodded and she left the shop to answer her call.

'How about yours, ma'am? he smiled again. His smile is really attractive.

I cleared my throat and smiled back. 'I'll have a birthday cake ice cream, please.' I ordered my favourite ice cream, it seems childish but it may be the only flavour I like. OK, it is the only flavour I like since I was child.
