After getting a scolding from Miss D'lani while I gave back her money, she gave me our pizza and I saw I was already more than an hour away from home.
Fuck , I hope Irayna isn't too worried.
With that thought, I said goodbye to the old woman before walking as fast as I could, pizza in hand, towards the house.
The street was bustling with life as people went on with their daily lives. Some coming back from a hard day of work, others taking their pups to activities. Pups playing outside.
I softly closed the door behind me, listening for any sign of life inside the house.
"Milla? Is that you?" Irayna's angelic voice came from somewhere inside the house.
"Yeah. It's me. I brought pizza!" With that I heard the thumping of footsteps before Irayna was standing in front of me. Her mouth litterally watering at the smell of the pizza.
"Let's eat." I proclaimed and she nodded and was off to get some paper plates.
"So how was your sleep?" I asked when she came back.
"It was a quick nap, not sleep." I arched an eyebrow, knowing very well that she slept, not 'napped'.
"If you say so dear." I teased and she scoffed.
She looked adorable when she was irritated at me. She mumbled something under her breath before I opened the pizza box.
I think it was a new record time. We ate the two pizza's like savages while we laughed at each other. I was so happy with Irayna and Ferrox also , but we still longed for the pack and our parents.
