Blood Lust | Lapidot

Arrival

(A/N: To those who've been here since Blood Lust was just a One Shot, I wanna thank you for sticking with me! Also some parts of this has been modified and isn't exactly  like the one shot. Anyhoo Enjoy!)

The day was hot, bland and utterly tiring, and to top it off Lapis Launiu Lazuli was getting a new roommate. Wonderful -_-

The brown and blue haired female wasn't entirely sure that a new weirdo added to the college dormitory was a good thing. She felt that if this person belonged anywhere it would most likely be a garbage can, hence the reason as to why the new girl would be moving in with her, total and utter garbage.

There was a knock on the door. Lapis gave out a groan before stomping her feet over to open the door. It was a short, blonde girl with lime green highlights and red stuff running down the side of her pale mouth. 'Blood? She looks like a nerd, it could be some weird allergy thing.'

"Hi there, I-I'm Peridot Zircon. I'm your new roommate." She smiled, her hand held out expectantly.

"Double L's the initials, Lapis Lazuli's the name. And you could've just used the key they gave you at the front door." The brunette scoffed, walking inside the dorm.

"They said I should make a copy of your key because they lost mine" Peridot said, stumbling into the apartment and closing the door behind her.

"Maybe it was because you're late?" Lapis said a bit harsh

"I was at… the hospital" the smaller girl stuttered, moving her luggage from the living room to the bedroom.

Lapis didn't care. This girl was clearly new here and probably wanted pity or something of the sort. So no. Lapis was not going to fall for some soppy or sad stories.

"Why? Were you at the height doctor or something?" The brunette joked sarcastically. Clearly it was not funny, it was more offensive actually.

"I was getting blood…" Peridot muttered under her breath before disappearing into the bedroom.

The walls were painted an almost black-blue color. To the right, were two large wooden cupboards, preferably for clothing. To the left, was a bunk bed. The top bed already covered and cleaned with fresh bedsheets. And the bottom… Peridot assumed to belong to Lapis. There was also a nightstand with a small white lamp and three draws.

The blonde placed her things into the cupboard that wasn't currently holding any clothing or baggage.

Lapis walked in, attempting to not look at the short girl bending over to fold her t-shirts. But failed miserably.

"So what's with the blood on your lips? You a vampire or something?" The brunette seemed to only make sarcastic jokes as a form of conversation.

"Not exactly" Peridot hesitated, wiping at the blood drying at the side of her mouth. The atmosphere in the room had become rather awkward because Lapis thought it would be smarter to leave the subject where it ended. I mean, her new roommate could be a vampire and just completely suck at hiding it.

"So what subjects do you take?" The brunette asked, shaking the distractions from her head.

"I major in engineering and minor in psychology and astrology. Uh, What do you take?" Peridot added, still folding and unpacking her T-shirts and trousers.

"Major in marine biology, minor in art and astrology" Lapis answered.

"Well at least we can help each other with one subject." The blonde laughed nervously.
