I turn and scream towards the car as I feel someone tackle me out of the way. Suddenly I can feel my body being slammed against the sidewalk across the road. The horn on the car letting off a loud beep as it continued to fly by. I pick my head up a bit, feeling someone quickly pulling me off the ground to my feet. But, it felt as if they already had a hold on my arms.

"Are you alright?" They said and I peek up to see someone with blonde hair staring at me. Blonde hair, red eyes. I knew them... from somewhere... I pulled back and held my eyes to think. Carter, Carson... Chris.

"Chris?" I asked and peered back up to see that it wasn't the long known best friend of mine. It was Marsh. "Oh, sorry, my head..." I looked down and then released my head from my hands, "I thought you were someone else..." I let out a slightly disappointed sigh but kept a smile to Marsh.

"I am sorry to disappoint you M'La-" He began until I gave him this truly disappointed look, "Kya, I mean." He rubs the back of his head nervously, before calming to his normal expression. "Are you alright?"

"Oh yeah, yeah I'm fine," I tell him, though I really didn't know if I was. I was alive, and that was enough for me at this point in time.

"You were screaming up there, you were doing something?" Marsh questioned.

"Oh yeah, Katelyn, Aphmau's friend with blue hair, she's putting on a modern version of Romeo and Juliet. I offered to help her out and be in it if she needed me to," I tell him, "You should audition!" I give him a quick friendly punch in his arm and see him let off a sheepish smile.

"Maybe," He says and I can catch him with a slightly happier smile, "W-Wait are you Juliet?"

"Nah, Aphmau offered with that," I say and hear my phone ding. Another next, this time from Charlie. I'm gonna meet you at your house. I just want to catch up. I stare at the message for a minute, and I suppose it might have made it seem like something was going wrong, but no, not this time... Not this time.

"Is everything okay?" Marsh asked trying to look onto my phone.

"It's fine," I quickly answer and pull my phone away, "I've just got someone coming to my house for a quick extension. I've gotta go, I'm sorry." I begin to walk away, slowly forming to a jog, then a run. Quickly I found myself sprinting to my house, opening the door and seeing the old friend of mine, that almost replaced all other images of Chris from my mind.

Tall, muscled, dark skin, dark blue eyes, a bright blue cap sat backward on his night-black hair. He wore his famous bright blue #17 Jersey and long blue jeans with his old lucky sneakers on. His smile pierced together as he walked up to me. Ingulfing me in his arms, his chin resting on my head as I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back.

"I didn't tell Antonio where I was going," He said quietly, "I wanted to, I needed to, see you again..." He pulls away and smiles at me.

"Distant but caring," I describe him, "Reminds me of Aaron. Who lives just down the street."

"I didn't come to see Aaron, I came to see you," He reminds me and I freeze right there as he takes a step back, "I get you wanna start over and do a fresh start, but, seriously? Ignoring us? I believe you once said 'The only family I have', was a way to describe us."

"This is my life! You know what I am Charlie!" I screamed, not meaning to. He holds up his hand and lets out a sigh.

"I know, I know, but still. I miss you. We all do. We lost both of our Father's to him. We were in there together. We're in this life together... No matter what." He puts his hand down and I can catch his other hand clench tight into a fist. I know how he gets, and right now, I was seeing him do it all again. Two horns, one pointed sharply into the air, the other broken near his head. Both colored lightly pale. His teeth struck sharply from his mouth as his dark skinned body went grey. His blue eyes transition to a clear white.

"You've controlled it," I said in amazement, "That's great!"

"Yeah, Antonio has to, almost..." Charlie says with a chuckle, "You?"

"Still silver, but I'm working on it," I said. Suddenly I realized we were still standing in the darkness, his white colored eyes giving off the only light, much like his Mother's when we were younger.

"I should get going, I didn't even tell my Mother that I was gonna be gone," Charlie said stepping to the door as everything seemed to fade from him, and he became Charlie, minus his Demonized side. "Bye Kyamina..."

"Why don't we meet on the court some time?" I said stopping him, "I'll be there maybe... Sunday?" I watched a smile crack on his face as he kept a move forwards out the door.

"Maybe I will be to then..." An with that, Charlie was gone, but outside the door, was something I'd never forget. A single, old crumbled note from the journal of an old friend's Mother's notebook. With words that I would use for life written closely and carefully.

I am scared, but am going with him. Even if I know what will happen to me. This time.
Do I dare? Do I dare to leave everything behind and then some? Do I dare to let myself love him, even though I know what it will do? My answer is simple. It's always a yes for my Dark King.
What about you? Do you dare for anything?

"Yes," I said quietly to myself, "And it's starting with this play. Rehearsals are soon, better not mess up, if I'm needed anyway.
