"Kya!" Voices shouted from left and right, "KYA!" It smelled like smoke, my body stayed frozen at the limp body hanging off the table before me. Her long black hair, opened and color faded brown eyes, it was a figure I knew all too well. The noisy footsteps from the sides of me trailed trough the sound of the crackling flames.
"Roin grab her!" Another voice said.
"On it Sir!" The final voice said. And then I saw them. The little boy with the dirty black hair and slowly shutting eyes. My feet were glued to the ground as my body called for me to chase after him. "Kya we need to go now!" A pair of arms pulled me from the ground before I shouted and reached for the black haired boy, whose scars would once never leave my head. Before finally leaving the flames, a dark black figure shaped like a shadow appeared. This figure scooped up the boy and left, in the other direction, and up. Was that blonde boy even real?
"Kya!" Another voice shouted and I jumped awake, screaming a name I never wanted another soul to hear. "CARSON!" I breathed heavy as a tough hand rested to my shoulder. I took three deep breathes and caught myself before looking up terrified to the person above me.
"Kya, are you okay?" Garroth said and sat next to me on my couch. I looked around in more of a daze and smelled a flash of smoke.
"Was I sleepwalking?" I asked as I pulled all of my thoughts together. I had fallen asleep in my bed, woke up on my couch. Garroth wasn't here before, but he is now. Diego is... sitting at the end of the table staring at us, but he was with me. Asleep. In my bed.
"From what I heard, Laurance said he saw you standing in the yard late last night and this morning your door was wide opened and smoke was coming out of the back window. I came and you were face first on the couch and the stove was left on," Garroth answered, "You kept talking in your sleep. Something about someone named Carson? Roin?" I shook my head and looked back to the kitchen. He shut off my stove. I smiled kindly to him and leaned back.
"I come up with story characters," I told him, "It must've just been a bad dream with them in it."
"Oh okay," He said and handed me a water that was sitting on my coffee table.
"Thanks," I said and took a sip, "For looking out for me."
"Anytime," He said, "Hey, what are you doing for Valentine's Day?" I started to cough and choke on the water. I could feel my face get flushed and everything around me seemed to feel heavier.
"W-Why?" I asked quietly and quickly.
"We were all going to do something with everyone else. As a whole group tonight." I calmed down a bit.
"Okay, okay," I said, "1-I don't have or wouldn't have a date. 2-I'd love to. 3-Make that clear first next time!" I gave him a small smack across the arm, "4 and final-Valentine's day isn't today."
"Yes, it is," He told me and pulled up his home screen on his phone with the date. Feb 14th. I jumped at the sight of the screen and my face went completely red. "We'll see you tonight. At 8 o'clock."
"Alright, I'll see you later Garroth," I said as he stood up and walked out the door, "Thanks again Garroth!" With that, he left and I sunk back into my couch and stared at my phone. I wanted to pick it up, I wanted to call them, to call Antonio, but I just couldn't. I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Long, long, long after Garroth showed up and helped me out I threw myself into my black leggings and my long black shirt with a red heart on it. Slipping on my old black sneakers. Yes, sneakers. I smiled at myself in the mirror and turned to make sure there was nothing for Travis to stare at. Simply stated, I was good. Then came the knock at my door and I sent Diego to go and get it. I knew it was Lucinda and Cadenza. They said they would come and get me when it was about 8 and we would head to the mall together. So, I think you know what would've happened when they walked into my room, clothes thrown everywhere, my hair a mess, and me in old dirty sneakers.
"What are you wearing?" Cadenza asked shocked by my look.
"Sweetheart," Lucinda said, "This ain't gonna do if you're gonna go out with Garroth."
"Lucinda," Cadenza spoke up, "I'm Garroth's date."
"Yeah, I'm just going to third wheel everyone," I said and my phone buzzed in Lucinda's hands.
"Marsh?" Lucinda said with a teasing tone and my face flushed as I snatched it back.
"SHUT UP!" I let out and stuffed my phone in my black bag, "Let's just go." Suddenly Cadenza throws me to my bed and Lucinda stands up over me.
"Not in this, now let's see what you have in this mess of clothes," Lucinda said.
"I'll do her hair!" Cadenza chimed and sat behind me and started slipping my hair into a messy Elsa style braid. "So, you and Marsh?"
"It's a promise I made him not too long ago," I said, "I told him if I didn't have a Valentine's Day Date I'd go with him."
"And you forgot about it?" Cadenza asked.
"Cold hard yes," I answer just as she finishes, "No dresses Lucinda."
"Why is it all black?" Lucinda asked from across the room, "And yes to a dress!" Suddenly I see her pull out a dress out of the pile and hold it up into the air. My short, thigh length dress that I last wore five years at an old friend's Divorce Party. It was the strangest night of my life. This dress though, it was a full royal blue with lace along the shoulders in the top. It had a silver sparkle waist and the bottom was frilled out a bit. "This is cute!"
"No! No dresses!" I shouted at no use, they already had my original clothes off and were throwing me into my dress. "I'm wearing the sneakers!"
We headed to the mall and things kicked off. We waited, and waited, and waited. We were almost the last ones to arrive. After us was Reese and Michi, then everyone was set. Zane was with Michi. Reese was with Kawaii~Chan, Cadenza, and Garroth, Laurance with Lucinda, then Aaron and Aphmau.
"Where's Marsh?" I asked.
"Oh, you texted him and said you had a date," Reese answered, "And he wasn't feeling the best anyway." I looked confused and dug in my bag for my phone. Then I felt it tap my forehead and saw Lucinda holding it out to me.
"Lucinda!" I growled and let out a final sigh, then made sure that nothing else had been done. And I was right, nothing. Almost. "LUCINDA! YOU TEXTED-Why would you-I-UGH! Why would you text Antonio?"
"I didn't!" Lucinda fought and I looked to Cadenza, "She did!" To this point, I couldn't speak. I just, I couldn't say anything. I had one of those angry little anime marks above my head and almost screamed.
"You okay?" I heard a voice say behind me and I jumped but was held down by two hands that turned me towards them. It was Antonio. His tall, dark figure smiled to me as he brushed his hand through his black hair and kept looking on. He was in a tight blue dress shirt that he tucked into his black pants. His eyes, shined bright purple. I forced myself to smile lightly and take a step back. "Hey, Ky-Ky."
"Ky-Ky?" Laurance asked and mentally I facepalmed. Antonio looked over towards Aphmau and Aaron and waved to Aaron and smiled, "Hey, Night Wolf."
"Night Wolf?" Aphmau asked and I could feel Aaron tense up a bit.
"It was something he was called when we were little on account of us hanging out with so many werewolves," I answered her and turned towards everyone else, "I know we're heading to the Arcade. We'll meet you guys there." With that, everyone left, and Antonio and I stood silently with each other. Less than half a foot between us. He looked down to me and smiled, placing his hand to my cheek. "I didn't text you."
"I know," He said, "You haven't sent me a message in so long, and when I saw my phone ding and your name came across, I knew it wasn't you." He placed his hands to my shoulders and smiled kindly.
"Why did you come then?" I asked and looked down.
"Because I knew it wasn't you," He said and placed a hand along my cheek, forcing me to look to his face., "I know we haven't been on the best terms. But I still want you to be okay."
"Thanks, Antonio," I said and pulled my arms around him in a hug, "No one-"
"No one knows. I know. I just had to do it for all times sack. You are my sister after all Kyamina Lycan. By blood or not," He said and I smiled as I buried half my face into his chest.
