I never really understood what happened. I was finding my Dress Uniform for a Service I had to attend that evening. Well...I think it was the evening.
It happened when I was under the cat walks. I knew I had left my uniform down there, until something happened. The tilting. The screaming. The Falling bodies that toppled on top of me and landed around the floor. Scattered corpses of engineers, technicians, radio operators, pilots and grunts all landed all lay dead, broken and snapped into multiple positions no man could achieve when living. Then came the weightlessness. It was like the anti-gravity systems failed altogether. Hardly something I should understand. The rest of the time was just blackened out....Something was wrong obviously.....I just did not know how bad it was then.

A was awoken by the sound of footsteps, crunching through what sounded like twigs, but also the hard, metallic floor of the cat walks. I opened my eyes till it was only a squint...A Silhouette...both large and unusual. I quickly dove my head back down and shut my eyes. Steps and heavy breathing was the only sound to be heard. Until the wriggling came.
A man, no larger than me, started to wriggle, toss, turn and try to get up. His leg seemed dislocated, something impaling his shoulder-blade down to the floor. I quickly glanced at him, he was lying in the door way. He was panicking, the silohette on the wall showing something draw some weapon of some sorts. I closed my eyes, kept still and waited for it. And sure enough, a long, gargling scream rang into my ears, eventually being drowned out by his own chokes on his own blood. Whatever did this, whoever did this, will sure enough come for me if I did not stay still. But maybe I could escape? Maybe I could run for the exit to my left, the other door way? I tried to get up, only to find my leg in pain. I cringed and let out a small whimper in pain. Bad move...
The Silohette's shadow quickly turned, and grew larger as it drew close to the door. I struggled to get to my feet, realising that only doing so will not help. I began propelling my useless body across the floor of bodies and metal. I did not look back, but the footsteps were growing larger, faster and the breathing was following.
"Come on...Come on Heroré!" I chanted to myself, to keep me in motion. But I felt the footsteps behind me, the darkness closing in on my position. I gave myself one last push towards the door, sliding my broken body through the gap.
I clawed my way up the wall, trying to reach the door control. I heard it's steps draw closer, crushing the bodies beneath it. The darkened room stayed quiet as a small roar was let out and the clang of metal against the floor made me think this was the end. However, for once I was wrong. My arm managed to reach the control pad, sliding the door shut with ease. The Silohette kept banging against the door for some time, trying to barge it's way in. But It was hopeless for it. Once the clanging had stopped and the footsteps grew quieter, I let myself drop to the ground from the wall. Sighing, breathing, panicking. What a way to spend the morning....or evening....I didn't know anymore.
The bright spark from my left lit up. A small blinking light flickered under some rubble and cargo dropped upon it. Salvation? Could not be sure, but it was better to check than to leave. I lifted the small box, revealing a small pad, with a tiny screen. And on that tiny screen....a emoticon of a blank expression. It's expression changed quickly though, too quick for me. It expressed a reliefed face.
"Oh....thank god! You have found me....thanks!" It echoed through it's rusty speakers.
"Eh?" I coughed, then continued. "Wha....what?"
"Pleasure Ma'am to be found by you. I devote my intelligence core to you." It bleeped.
"Wha...Hang on...wait....Sir you mean?" The face changed again, showing a embarrassed face.
"My apologies. Sir....I introduce myself as Special Personnel Against Reactive Terror Scenarios. Or S.P.A.R.K.S. for short." I kept my painful but confused look tracked onto it.
"Ok...S.P.A.R.K.S....what the hell are you...Eh?"
"Hush Sir....All will be explained another time. But first, engage my backward end to your under wrist compartment." I took the time to think this over.
"But my.....oh....fuck...." I lifted my wrist compartment to reveals my Old A.I. cracked, shattered and fried. All of 'em. Anyway...I placed the small pad into the compartment and closed the lid.
"Great Job Sir!" It chanted.
"Uh....Not...much really to congratulate me...and stop calling me sir...." I yelled at it. God's sake...it was frustrating!
"My apologies sir...."
"For fucking hell's sake...." This will be more hellish than whatever darkness is hunting me and whoever is left out...where ever we are, that is...
(Sorry for the slow updates, took some time with some school work, Cadets and a competition I entered.....at least I got it done...that is what counts.)
