After twelve in the afternoon, I woke up. I was fully rested and starving, although I just ate a few hours ago. There was a knock on my door, I immediately thought it was him.
"Come in." I command.

In came my parents and siblings, I shuffle uncomfortably under my sheets, nervous at what they might say. Especially my mother.

"First Eric, now you? Where did I go wrong in raising you all?" My mothers comments, sitting on my bed. I just smile sadly.

"I thought it'd be Elle getting in trouble with the DUI, not you Erin." Daddy shakes his head.

Elle snickers "Same here daddy."

"And they say karma don't exist." Eric murmurs.

My big sister Elsa kept quiet. It's been a while since I've seen her, she was noticeably slimmer than usual and would avoid my eyes every time I look at her. Something's odd. She's not her positive, cheerful self. Ezra was quiet as well, but that's just him.

"It's a miracle that your here with us today. God, I thank you for not taking my baby girl." My dad leans over and kisses me on the forehead.

I tried to stay in reality, but my mind kept daydreaming about Judith and I, laughing, talking, eating tacos twenty-four seven, hanging out together............Ugh! He's just an acquaintance Erin, get it together!

"Erin?" My mother ask, waving her hand in my face, "I ask, when you're getting discharged?"

I shrug my shoulder, not sure myself. "Maybe, around two o'clock." I guess.

Ezra gasps and everyone turns to him, he hand his mouth covered with his hand, wide-eyed looking at me. I felt uneasy as I mouth "What is it?" at him.

"Turn on channel five." Ezra orders. I grab the television remote on my night stand which still had taco crumbs from this morning and turned on the tv in my room. I was mortified at what was happening. Images off of my social media were shown on tv and a footage of angry females protesting in front of my work's building.

"Twenty-eight year old, Erin Miller. Is in hospital after attempting murder on famous CEO Alvin Juno's son, the heir towards Junology (name of the Juno's company), Judith Juno. Police say they will take her into custody once she is discharge from the hospital later on today. Let's cut to what Mr.Juno admirers has to say. Veronica?" The new anchoret reports.

"Thank you, Stanley. Here I am, standing in front of R and P real estate (Erin's work company) with a crowd of 'Mr. Juno admirers' protesting to have Ms.Miller fired. Let's here from one of the protesters." She walks over to a protester who wipes the sweat off of her face before she began.

"How dare she?! That whore tried to kill my future husband! She needs to be fired! She's a criminal! A psychopath! I'm glad her social media is open, so she could read my nasty comments about her bitch-ass." The protestor comments.

I turn off the tv, shaking.....no, trembling! I'm flabbergasted, I looked at my parents and my siblings, they were also as shocked with the sudden news. They're defaming me! I had no intention of killing anyone! The police knew that I was drunk!

"Mommy, daddy, that's not true! They're defaming me!" I point at the blank television. My father nods his head in approval of my truth. He is a lawyer after all.

"I'll check in with the police reports and sue that news company. Don't worry baby, daddy's going to protect you." He reassures.

"You're going to have to delete all of your social media, they're bashing you and threatening you." Elle shows me her phone of my profile on Footbook (knock-off of Facebook). I gasp at the death threats and hateful comments under a few of my recent photos.

"More importantly, Judith Juno is an upcoming name, his father Alvin, is rich, powerful and rotten." My mother warns, knowing, as she was once his former classmate.

"I've met Judith himself, he's the one who brought me here and checked me into this room. He's......nice." I mention.

"He's a generous man." My sister Elsa spoke for the first time.

With that being said, visiting time was up, everyone left and I was in the room alone, I didn't know what to do, I'm a rock bottom. There's only one person who can clear up this entire misunderstanding. I stare long and hard at the piece of paper with several digits resting on my bedside, which no one noticed. I felt the stress climbing on my shoulders from last night and the hunger in my stomach.

I pick up my cell, ignoring all notifications from my social media and checked my email. No message for my court date, I sigh. I went and dial the number, listening to it ring, and ring, and ring, and ring. Finally he answered.

"Hello?"

Just hearing his voice made me cry, I was under a lot of stress and only he knew what I was going through.

"What is happening?!" I cry.

"W-who is this? Erin? Is this you?" He ask with curiosity.

"Y-yes, it's me. Have you seen the news?"

"No, what's going on?"

I inform him on what was reported on the news, he seem just as shocked as I was.

"I'm so sorry, Erin. Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Yes! Tell them it's not true! Tell them that I didn't try to intentionally kill you! I was the one that almost died! I was the one who got hit! I'm not a psychopath! I'm not a murder! I'm a human being!" I plead, being desperate for him to spread the word and put the flame from the rumors, out with the truth.

My entire life is crumbling away.......all because I ran a red light. Fuck me.

"I'll see what I can do." He says.

I didn't feel reassured, not in the least. The stress is eating me alive, and my hunger made it no better.

"When are they discharging you?"

"I......I don't know," I sniffle, "maybe two o'clock."

"I'll see if I can get you before that, so we can both go to the police and sort things out about you being arrested."

"Please..........Judy, please help me." My voice broke when saying this, I was already mentally drained and now I'm about to be physically drained too. I haven't cried his much since my grandparents died.

"Of course I will." He confidently boast.

I didn't know this man, yet he's a solid rock I can lean on for help. We hung up and he began making his way over at the hospital. All I had to do was wait on my him................my hero.
