SMG4 woke up and checked his YouTube channel, as he saw that the time has finally come. It has now been ten years since SMG4 has started his channel, and that excited him.
Tari: What's going on, SMG4?
SMG4: Check this out, Tari!
SMG4 showed Tari when the channel started, which was February 13, 2009.
Tari: Ten years?
SMG4: I just wanna throw a huge party right now, but I think the party will be incomplete without Mario and Meggy around.
Tari: Yeah. They're pretty famous so they can't not be here.
SMG4: Hey Tari. Let's save our training until the afternoon and watch my old and most popular videos just to celebrate this huge milestone.
Tari: Sure. Plus, there's a Nintendo Direct coming today, and I don't wanna miss it!
SMG4: Me too, Tari.
They started their celebration of the 10th anniversary of SMG4 by watching his oldest videos.
SMG4: As you can see here, my older videos are... crap, well, compared to my newer videos, of course.
Tari: I can see that. It is just the beginning, might I add.
They then started to watch the video "Account Loss".
SMG4: This video is actually the first appearance of me. Let me show you.
Tari: Okay.
The video started, as something that was exciting to SMG4 happened 20 seconds in.
Mario (video): Hey, the doorbell rang. Who could it be? Please be food. Come in!
SMG4 walked in the door, with applause heard in the background.
SMG4 (video): Hi, Mario. Everything going good?
Tari: Wow. I bet you put that applause in there because this is your first appearance. I liked that little touch. You must've been very excited back them.
SMG4: I know. Glad you care that much about me, Tari.
They continued watching videos in celebration until there was 10 minutes before the Nintendo Direct.
Tari: SMG4! The Direct starts in 10 minutes! We gotta turn it on!
SMG4: Okay, Tari. Man, was I glad to experience how far I evolved over 10 years, and I'm happy I spent it with you.
Tari: Thanks.
They opened up the Nintendo Direct, which was under 10 minutes away, as SMG4 and Tari couldn't wait to see what was in store.
After the Direct.
They were happy about the announcements that they want to talk about them.
SMG4: That was a good Direct. I kinda wished they showed off more information about the Smash DLC, though.
Tari: Yeah. I bet they're gonna be adding new modes in the upcoming update.
SMG4: Also, Super Mario Maker 2. Goddamn, was that an amazing announcement!
Tari: I'm so excited for that. Only four months away!
SMG4: Glad that they're also bringing Deltarune to the Switch.
Tari: And that Link's Awakening remake was awesome!
SMG4: Also, Tetris 99 is pretty interesting and hilarious at the same time. It's basically Tetris Battle Royale, and I love it.
Tari: The rest of the announcements were pretty alright in my opinion.
SMG4: Good Direct. Really made me more happy. Also, a moment of silence for the 3DS.
They did a few seconds of silence because the 3DS was nowhere to be seen in the Direct.
Tari: Well, you ready for our training for today?
SMG4: Yeah! What was the fourth game again?
Tari: Street Fighter V.
SMG4: Let's do this, Tari.
They turned on the game, and since this game was 1v1 only and they have to work together, they decide to take turns against another random person online.
SMG4: We can do this fine even on our own.
Tari: We sure will. You can do it, SMG4. Focus!
SMG4 picked Blanka as his usual character, and the other guy online picked Ryu.
SMG4: Prepare to feel my wrath.
SMG4 got started on his match, but seeing as he barely played Street Fighter V, he kept getting beat up by the other player even with his skills. He then lost the match.
SMG4: Aw crap!
Tari: Oh my. I guess we haven't played this game as much as most of the others. We should train against CPU players for now.
SMG4: Okay. Makes sense.
They began training against CPU players. They trained harder and harder until they are ready to actually face people online.
They switched turns every match facing different people online, and they were mostly well. They had to bring out Tari's transporting-into-video-games power more times than usual because of how little of the game they played before today.
SMG4: Man, this game is quite hard.
Tari: But we'll find a way to get through this game once it comes up in the tournament.
SMG4: We gotta train some more quick. We got a bit of a time crunch because of the Nintendo Direct and my channel's 10th anniversary.
Tari: Okay. Just think of the game like Street Fighter II, which is the one we mostly play.
SMG4: Good idea, Tari. We're pretty good at that, so we gotta be pretty good at this one too.
Tari: Right.
They continued playing through online matches, and as it was starting to get late, Tari suggests something to SMG4.
Tari: Hey SMG4. How about we show our skills made after our training by playing a match against each other?
SMG4: Sure, Tari. It'll be a fun time. Plus, it'll be great to face off against someone who trained as well as me. That way we'll be evenly matched.
Tari: Alright. Let's do this!
They began the match, with them as their usual Street Fighter characters, as they fought hard and hard, focusing and relying on their skills and strategies. It took longer than a usual Street Fighter match between the two of them, but they were both neck and neck, each with one win and health almost down. However, Tari came in and became the winner again.
SMG4: Wow. Looks like you beat me again. Good game, Tari.
Tari: Good game. You were pretty close, and you did a great job.
SMG4: Thanks, Tari.
Tari: You're welcome, SMG4. Now let's get to bed. I'm tired.
SMG4: Okay, Tari.
As SMG4 and Tari went to their bed, SMG4 told her something.
SMG4: Psst. Tari. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day.
Tari: Wow. The day of love is finally here.
SMG4: How about we save our training of the last game for tomorrow and go on a huge date tomorrow for Valentine's Day.
Tari: Yeah. That sounds good. I'd love that.
SMG4: Then it's settled. Good night, sweetheart.
Tari: Good night, my sweet prince.
They both went to sleep, not wanting to wait for their big date tomorrow for Valentine's Day.
The next chapter will be focused on their Valentine's date. See you later. Happy 10th anniversary, SMG4!
