Malis flight landed in LA around 9 and Calum was picking her up. It was Saturday, 3 days before Christmas. Calum's parents were flying in tomorrow morning. By the time Calum and Mali got back from the airport the kids would definitely be asleep. I tidied up the kitchen after dinner, and made sure the guest rooms were ready. Right now, though, I was finishing wrapping some presents for the kids. The dogs Rosie and Montgomery ran downstairs when the front door opened. Calum and Mali came into the bedroom moments later
"Hi Maddie"
"How was your flight?" I asked when I got up to hug her
"Good, I already feel so jet lagged"
"Well both guest rooms are ready"
"I think I'll just head to bed then"
"I'll bring your stuff down" Calum follows her out of the room. When we found out I was pregnant a second time, we needed more space so we moved. The house we live in now has 4 bedrooms upstairs and an office downstairs that we made a guest room. The twins share a room right now since they share a lot of things but once they get older we'll switch the guest room up here for a kids room. Calum came back in our bedroom and sat in the floor with me. He began wrapping some of the presents that I had out. When most were finished I dramatically layed on the floor and groaned "you tired?" Cal said through his smile. I nodded sleepily and yawned. He came over and layed beside me "have you decided about the party tomorrow?"
"I don't know. I want to, I just don't want to abandon the kids with your parents"
"They love them. It'll be fine babe"
"We'll see" he nodded and took my answer. We layed on the floor in silence for a little longer.
"I love you so much mads. I don't say it enough but I want to make sure you know that"
"I love you too"
"And I love everything you do with the kids and our friends and my family. Thank you for everything Mads"
"No problem" I sat dozed off
"Let's get you to bed" he stood up and helped me up off the floor. I quickly found my way to my side of the bed
"Goodnight"
"Night love"

I woke up to see Colton jumping on our bed
"Good morning bud" I say. He stops jumping and lays beside me
"Daddy said breakfast is ready"
"Ok let's go eat then" he hops off the bed and runs out. I tied my hair up before heading downstairs. When I walked into the kitchen, Mali was following Colton to the table
"Morning Mads" cal smiled "I made breakfast"
"I see"
"How'd you sleep?"
"Better since I'm being woken up to breakfast made by my wonderful husband" I smile at him. He gives me a quick peck on the lips. I went into the dining room and sat down. Mali was sitting with Colton "better now that you've slept?"
"Yeah" she nods "I don't know if I would've gotten up if Colton didn't jump on me. That bed is so comfortable"
"It's the best" I agree with her. Calum brought in the rest of the food and we started eating. I cut up little pieces of pancake for addy and Decklan "are you not going to sit with us?" I call to Calum who's in the kitchen
"I was going to finishing cleaning up since mom and dad would be here soon" as much as Calum insisted on picking his parents up from the airport, they decided to take a taxi to save one of us the trouble of driving almost an hour there and back. We finished our breakfast and I finished tidying up so cal could spend time with Mali and the kids. I had just finished when there was a knock on the door. The dogs started barking. I got to the door before cal or Mali did. I opened it to see joy and David
"Hello, come on in" I gave them both hugs and cal came over and said hello. He then took their stuff to the guest room
"Grandma" Colton ran over and jumped in Joys arms
"Hi Colton" she smiled at him
"How was the flight?" I ask David
"Long" he groaned "it'll be worth it to see all yous though"
"Colton and Calum have been very excited for you to visit" we all moved into the living room where Mali and the twins were. We had eventually all sat down
"So Calum says you're all going to a Christmas party later" joy says to us
"Oh did he" I smile at cal. There was a big party tonight at Ashton and Kays. They were having Mariah and Jack and everyone over. Mali, cal and I were invited but I felt bad ditching the kids with his parents
"You guys go and have fun. The kids with have a blast with us"

I was finishing straightening my hair before we left for the party. We spent the day playing games and watching movies.
"Why do you take so long?" Cal groaned
"I'll be 3 seconds" I quickly put on a bit of hair spray and found Calum laying on our bed "let's get going" I say to him. We met Mali downstairs
"Ok, you stay out as long as you'd like" David said. We all said goodbye and we left. I drove, kind of expecting I'd drink the least. Once we got there and I got a drink, I went off to find Kay. She was talking to Mariah and Brian
"Hello everyone" I said when I walked over to them
"Hi Maddie" I gave Kay a quick hug "abandoned the kids with cals parents?"
"Yeah"

We decided to leave around 12:30. Mali was tired, cal was drunk and I just wanted to go home. I had already said goodbye to everyone and we just got cal in the back of the car
"Happy you decided to go out?" Mali asked on the way home
"Yeah, I haven't been out in a while so it was nice" we weren't far from the house, still on an empty highway, when cal spoke from the back seat
"I'm going to throw up"
"fuck" I muttered. We pulled over and opened the door for him to puke on the side on the road
"What a great way to start Christmas Eve" Mali said. I shook my head and laughed a bit. I passed back a water bottle to cal. He hated people to be with him when he threw up so I give him his space.

We were back home shortly passed 1. There wasn't much of a fight to get Calum into bed. Once he layed down I took off his shoes and jeans. He curled up in the blankets and fell asleep easily. I went in and checked on the kids, Colton was sound asleep and so were the twins. I quietly got into bed and fell asleep.
