"Mommy, daddy wake up! It's Christmas!"
"Colton did Santa come?" Cal asked him. I slowly opened my eyes
"Yeah, come on let's go open presents!" He sat on the bed
"We have to wait for everyone else to get up first" Colton groaned and layed down beside me, cuddling into my side "I'll go start the coffee" Calum got up and went downstairs
"Mommy it's Christmas"
"I know, are you excited?" He nodded eagerly "how about you go knock on grandma and grandpas door?"
"Okay" he hopped up and left the room. I pulled myself out of bed and followed the boys out of our bedroom. The dogs were laying in the hallway so I opened the door to Malis room, letting them run inside to wake her up. I went into the twins bedroom and they were awake. I just finished changing them when Mali came in. We each took a baby and went downstairs. Calum had out 5 cups of coffee, made as we each like
"Colton can you open the back door for Rosie and gummy please?" Calum asked him and he ran back to open it. We all gathered in the living room after. Addy sat with Calum and I, decklan with Joy and Colton was sitting on the floor opening his presents. Us adults also took turns opening gifts from each other. The twins had a few to open as well, with the help of Colton. We sat in the living room for a little bit until I started to make breakfast, and start on dinner since it would take awhile.

The day was spent playing with the kids new toys and preparing dinner. This was the first time we've had Christmas at our house. Every other year we've flown to Australia but we weren't sure about flying with 3 kids so everyone came here. We all finally sat down in the dining room to eat
"So 3 kids going to be it?" Mali asked
"So 0 kids going to be it?" Cal said back
"Shush, you know we're trying to get there" Mali and her boyfriend, Jack, are on a waiting list for adoption. When Colton was about 2 she found out she couldn't have her own kids, which devastated her and Jack.
"And we might have more" cal shrugged
"Yeah, if you have them, we can have more kids" Joy laughed at my comment
"You're done?" She asked and I nodded "what if I want more grandchildren?"
"You have a daughter" I point at Mali with my fork
"That might be awhile" Mali laughed a little
"We'll make it quicker, Colton do you want to live with aunt Mali?" Calum asked him "or we've got 2 11 month olds, take your pick"
"They're fun, you'll love them" I told her

Everyone was in bed except Calum and I. We sat on the couch, both having a beer.
"Well, we did it Mads" he said "you did it I guess, thanks for a kick ass Christmas" he stuck his hand out to high five me, which I took
"You were there just as much as I, we did it" he grabbed my hand after I high fives him, then brought it up to his mouth and kissed it. We then heard crying through the baby monitor "I'll be back" I stood up, setting my beer on the coffee table and heading upstairs into the twins room. I picked up Decklan and rocked him a bit to try and get him to calm down, which helped a little
"Mads come back downstairs" I heard Calum's voice through the baby monitor. I brought Decklan down with me
"I think someone wants his favourite parent to rock him back to sleep" I gently hand the baby over to Calum. Almost as soon as he was in cals arms, he was quiet. I swear he has a spell on the twins
"Sit down on the couch" he said as he walked over to the tree grabbing an envelope. I sat down and waited for him to come back over "this is for you"
"I thought we agreed on no presents babe" he sat down beside me with Decklan in his lap
"It's just a little something to thank you for everything this past week" I tear open the top and pull out the 2 plane tickets then a trip voucher for the Bahamas
"Just a little something? Oh my god cal" I sigh, but kept the smile on my face "I feel bad, I didn't get you anything"
"Well we'll give it to Luke and Sierra then"
"Wait no, I'll live, I gave you 3 kids that's enough." He laughed "Thank you so much"
"Don't worry about it baby, you deserve it"
"When do we go?"
"We leave in 3 days, my parents will stay and watch the kids for the first 3 days then ash and Kay will come over"
"Oh my god" I couldn't stop smiling "I love you so much"
