Chapter 23

I gasped for air, I felt my body start to work again. I slightly moved my head around on the ground. I was in a forest and the color looked off. Like dull or lifeless.

I sat up from my spot on the floor. I heard movement from the forest. Everywhere to be exact. I quickly jumped from my spot frantically looking around.

Where the hell am I.

I turned around just in time for a vampire to attack me with a weird blade thing with teeth. He tried swinging the blade towards me but I dodged.

He tackled me again but right before he could take a bite of me. His head was chopped clean off.

His blood splattering everywhere on my face.

I pushed the lifeless body off of me and cleaned my face so I could see. I stared at the person who saved me.

My mouth almost dropped for real when I saw the person.

"You just going to sit there and stare or are you going to introduce yourself?" He spoke with a strong accent.
He offered his hand to help me get up which I gladly accepted.

I scratched me head and looked around a bit before answering.

"Sorry. Not quiet sure where I am? Names Olivia Hunter. You must be?" I pretended to not know him for protection.

"Names Benny. Nice to meet you Miss Hunter."  He slightly tilts his head towards me.

"You should probably take his weapon if you want to live in here." He points towards the dead body.

I walked over to it and picked up the weird object. "Where is here exactly?"

"Well sweetie you're in purgatory. Where the dead monsters come here. From weaklings to the most feared creatures." He points around the forest.

"We must not stay to long. Don't want anything else attacking us." He started to walk towards a current direction.

I heard movement again and howling. I quicken my pace to meet up with him.

Time skip~

"So you're telling me that you pretty lady is the child of God himself. And you died from protecting your friend from an angel. Lady if I wasn't trapped here I would call you crazy." He stepped over another tree branch.

"My point exactly. It's all crazy and apparently I have to accept it and do my part in all of this. Which is just insane." I hopped over the tree limb.

I kept the part that I'm not from here a secret because I don't know.

"Well in here you don't have to worry about anything like that pretty. All you have to worry about is to keep your head on and live." He said helping me down a small Clift thing.

I smiled at him but heard something rustle in the bushes in front of us. I readied my weapon.

Out popped monsters, at least 5 of them.

They rushed towards us swinging and yelling.

I dodged out of the way of the first monster attacking me. He had a buddy with him as well. They each were on either of my side. The right one went first swinging the knife back and trying to hit me. I blocked the swing with my weapon and punched the bitch in the face. She stumbled a bit giving a good opportunity to take my swing. Her head came clean off.

The next guy came right after me and grabbed my back and held tight. I wiggled like there was no tomorrow literally. He kept squeezing harder and I could hear stuff popping. I stopped wiggling crazily and took my foot right into his knee cap. This made him stumble and loosen the grip. I used my elbow to knock him in the head. Once free from the grip I quickly did a 180 swing action and cut his head clean off.
