This week, I received quite a few questions on “how to write a book.”
In my mind when I read this question, I thought it’s simple you just free your mind on paper or your computer screen, but as I’m sitting here writing this, I need to go into more detail and that’s when it became tricky. Sometimes there’s nothing worse for a writer than a blank screen, just waiting to be filled.
A great trick to use while writing is just to write don’t stop to correct your writing. Leave your corrections for a later day, just keep the flow of words always coming from your mouth.
Some of my more known works came to me from me not even looking at my screen until I finished all that I needed/wanted to say.
Another thing to keep in mind is to let your ideas fester in your mind before you put it to paper or on your screen. NEVER force an idea because it will not sound correct, it will not be truly amazing if you push an idea!
The last thing I believe I have to offer is to be yourself sincerely when you’re writing don’t try to force your work out of you, when your idea is already it will flow freely from your mind to your fingers and then to your computer. Do not be ashamed of any ideas that come to you.
The most efficient way to write a book is to keep it scheduled and have goals you want to reach. This piece of advice can be geared to any obstacle you may face. Set aside a specific amount of time maybe 3-4 hours a week to work solely on writing!
I promise, be true to yourself, and your work will be impeccable.
