Y/n was surprised.

It is Valentine's Day today, and to be quite frank, it is not y/n's favorite day of the year.

You see, y/n has never had a boyfriend, so this day was simply irrelevant in the past. Now that she is dating Andrew, she would think it had some meaning to her, but it still doesn't mean anything.

Andrew works really hard for Shane, and he loves it. Working alongside your best friend is great, especially when you get paid well for it.

Today, they were both over at Shane and Ryland's house, alongside with the rest of the squad: Garrett and Morgan. None of them were doing anything for Valentine's Day, since everyone had something more important and relevant to do.

"So, how are you and Andrew going to celebrate Valentine's Day? Any reservations for a fancy restaurant?" Morgan asked her best friend, y/n. They were both observing the boys while they were editing for each of their channels and chatting excitedly.

"We're not doing anything actually." She answered back, staring at her boyfriend and sending him a soft smile when he made eye contact with her beautiful eyes.

Morgan was shocked, to say the least. Both y/n and Andrew were quite the romantic type, so not doing something on the most romantic day of the year was awfully odd.

"What do you mean? It's your first Valentine's Day and you are not doing anything? Sounds stupid to me." Morgan answered, looking over at her from her phone.

"Well, he's really busy with editing for Shane's channel and making Ryland's thumbnails so...not really doing anything special today." y/n stated.

It was indeed odd, even for her. She had always dreamed about celebrating Valentine's Day like every other person, but now that she was with Andrew, she realized that they didn't need a specific day to show love, affection and give cute gifts to each other.

Their relationship had always been like that. Every time one of them sees something that the other would like, they buy it. It doesn't matter the occasion.

"So, you're just...staying over the whole day while editing your videos and staring at him?" The blonde asked, still finding everything a little odd.

"Yeah, why not? It's a normal day, Morgan. Just because it has a title and there are heart shaped things everywhere doesn't mean that this day is suddenly important." She answered back, standing up from the couch and walking towards her backpack to grab her laptop.

It was true. Her plans consisted on her laying back on the couch, Cheeto next to her napping while she edited this week's vlog. That was her Valentine's Day.

After an hour or so, Andrew stood up from his chair, walking over to his girlfriend and leaning down to kiss her forehead, muttering a quiet "I love you" to her.

This was common between the two. Random little gestures that made the both of them go red and smile shyly.

After that little gesture, he went to the kitchen to grab some water, taking his time to relax for a bit.

He was worried. He had told y/n that he was too tired to do something special for Valentine's Day, and obviously she understood the situation.

She always does. She's always understanding. And sometimes, Andrew wishes she wasn't. He preferred if she said she wanted to go out for dinner instead of accepting that her night was going to be spent as any other busy night.
