Chapter 4 - The house tour

When Marinette were trying to find Tikki, Adrien had sneaked down to the kitchen to see if Plagg were there and stealing cheese, but he couldn't find him there either. He knew that it was a risk going down to the kitchen but he needed to find Plagg. The hard part were to do it without Marinette getting suspicious, and Adrien had noticed that she already were.

"It's hard to read that girl. But it feels like she's getting a little more relaxed around me, she can talk to me know without a stutter. I wonder why she has a problem to be herself around me? I guess I need to go up otherwise she would think I've disappeared or something."

In Marinette's room had Marinette looked everywhere for Tikki but she couldn't find her.

"Maybe she has flown down to the kitchen now when she knows that no one can see her"

Marinette opened the door and looked out. Adrien were still in the bathroom, strange. "He really take a long time in there, models maybe need that." Marinette took the chance and ran down to the kitchen. Half way down she met Adrien in the stairs and tripped.

"Mar... Marinette! Watch out!" Adrien caught Marinette.

"I... I didn't expect to sun into you here!" Marinette had to catch her breath. Then she realized that Adrien were holding her tight and that their faces were really close. She could feel his warm breath and she realized that he tried to catch his breath, the same as she.

"Can you stand on your own now?" Adrien stutterd.

"Oh, of course." Marinette found her balance again and stood on her own two feet.

Adrien let go of Marinette but he realized that he did it unwillingly. "But that is going on with me? I love Ladybug! I can't have feeling for Marinette too!" Marinette let go of his upper arms equally unwillingly and she felt sadness in her chest. "He will never feel the same way about me as I feel for him, otherwise he would had taken the chance by now. I guess I'm only a friend to him..."

"Did you forget anything?" Adrien looked at Marinette.

"What?"

"Because you were on your way down to the kitchen again?" Adrien thought that if he asked her she would forget to ask him what he was doing down there.

"I forgot... I don't remember!" Both of them laughed.

"But what were you doing down here?"

"I..." Adrien's brain stopped working. "Crap, crap, crap. Think Adrien!"

Marinette looked at him with her big blue eyes and she was really confused, what were he doing?

"I went down to drink some water." It was the best he could think of.

"Okay, but I brought something to drink to my room."

"How the hell am I gonna come out of this, she's like a little detective." Adrien thought hard to find a solution.

"Fine, I wanted to see what your kitchen looked like. You know, I'm used to our cold kitchen. I wanted to see if your kitchen were equally cosy as your room." Adrien used his acting skills that he had worked on these years as Chat Noir. "Please, believe me! I know it was a lame one!"

"But why didn't you just ask me to take you on a tour around the house? I would love to do that for you!" Marinette blushed but she sounded not really convinced.

"Can I get one now?" Adrien really wanted one.

Marinette felt sorry for him. What she had understand he spent very much time at his house, alone in his room. "I wonder what he does all day?"
