Chapter 5 - Time to sleep

Marinette looked at herself in the mirror, in the light from the candle she didn't look so worn out. There hadn't been so much sleep the last few days, there had always been someone that had been akumatized, every day. She hoped that Hawk Moth would stay calm tonight so she could get a whole night of sleep. She felt like she was 40 years old instead of 17. She changed to softer and warmer clothes but her heart was pounding so hard that she almost had trouble breathing.

- You just have to do it, it's nothing weird at all! All you have to do is to share the same bed with the boy you have been in love with for three years... Jesus, I'm going to get a panic attack soon! And Tikki is gone! Where can she be?

At the same time in Marinette's room.

- Plagg! Where are you? Adrien shouted the loudest he dared too but there were still no Plagg in sight. This is not good, what if I need to transform and he's not here! He has never disappeared like this before! I can't shout any louder, Marinette would hear that, and she can come in any time now! This is a nightmare...

He felt nervous but at the same time he couldn't wait for Marinette to come back . He was so confused about his feelings. When he was pacing around in the room Marinette entered and he immediately saw that she had let her hair down. He found himself staring at her, she looked so beautiful.

- You look so pretty with your hair down. Not that you aren't pretty otherwise but it really suit you. Adrien blushed but he still couldn't take his eyes off of her.

- Tha... Thank you! Marinette felt that her cheeks turned red but she also felt really tired.

Marinette yawned and Adrien couldn't help it and he laughed.

- I think it's time for bed. Adrien smiled his brightest smiles towards Marinette and he reached out his hand.

Marinette took it like as if she were hypnotized and followed him to the bed. They laid down close together and put the blanket around them. Adrien put his arms around Marinette to keep her warm, but Marinette turned around and put her arms around him too. So they were laying in the bed holding each other.

- I don't want you to freeze either. Marinette couldn't believe that she actually had done this or that she said it without stittering.

- Thank you Marinette. Adrien gave Marinette a kiss on her head. Sleep tight.

- Sleep tight Adrien.

Marinette closed her eyes and fell asleep almost in an instant, faster than she ever had before. Adrien were awake and listened to her deep breathing. She smelled so unbelievable good, and so familiar.

- Oh Marinette, I would be so happy if you were Ladybug but I know that would only be in my dreams. Adrien whispered and held tighter of Marinette.

Adrien had trouble to sleep, he was still a little bit anxious because he didn't know where Plagg was but at the same time he was very satisfied with laying in bed and having his arms around his friend. But the word friend seemed not enough for Marinette, she was so much more to him. Eventually he fell asleep too.

When the two teenagers finally were asleep, Tikki and Plagg sneaked into their holders pockets and fell asleep too.

- Good night sugarcube!

- Good night Plagg!

BANG!

Marinette and Adrien woke up at the same time.

- Did you hear that? Adrien looked around but it was completely dark in the room.

- Yes, what do you think it was?
