Part 3

Part 3: Surprise!!

Around 6 months later...

It had been 8 months since graduation, 6 months ago we got our own house.
But what was next?

Alexia's P.O.V

It was quite early in the morning, so like I did every morning, I sat at my dresser deciding what to do with my hair. I was about to get my straightener, when Brandon caught my attention.

Standing, by the door with a huge grin on his face.
"Follow me, I have a surprise for you."

I stood up, not looking away from his eyes. I began to follow him. Brandon led me downstairs and through to the back garden. A path made up of scattered rose petals lay upon me.

Brandon's P.O.V

I had been planning this for months. I just hadn't managed to work up the courage to go through with it. I decided that now was the time as Alexia was upstairs. I had scattered the pathway of petals in the garden and now I just had to get Alexia and finally go through with it.

I walked upstairs and stood in the door way. She turned to get something out of the drawers beside her. I must've caught her eye, which was the intention.
I smiled. "Follow me I have a surprise for you."

Finally, after all these months I was finally going to go through with it.

I was going to propose to Alexia.

I guided her through the garden, following the path. I stopped, turning to face her.
I got the ring out of my pocket and got down on one knee.

Alexia's hands quickly rose to the sides of her face, tears began to form in her eyes, hopefully they were happy tears.

I opened the ring box. (Prepare for a long speech - sorry hehe)
"Alexia, the day I met you - college. We were put together as room mates. Who would've knew? One night you had come back to the dorm, upset. Kathy had kissed your boyfriend in front of you. The lockers were the start of us, in an act to make Jace jealous yet it connected us instead. You argued with Jace, and came into the bathroom not knowing I was there.

That was the moment I fell in love with you.

Our first date - my attempt to cheer you up. The ice cream parlour. You had ice cream on your nose, I had tried to remove it for you causing us to stand inches apart - leading us to kiss. Walking across the beach we held hands. Then we had yet another encounter with Jace. I called you 'my girl' surprising myself.
I knew I didn't want anyone else but you.
Remember when I asked you to be my girlfriend? How I admitted that you were constantly on my mind? The valentines couples dance? We watched the lion king after walking home in the snow.

All these memories, and more. That is what brings me to ask you...

Alexia, Will you marry me?"
