Part 5

Part 5: surprise visits
Alexia's P.O.V
"Erm Brandon who is-" I got cut off by Brandon
"Mum?" Brandon said to the woman standing in front of us. Brandon turned to me, " Alexia this is my mother, Julia. Mum this is Alexia my...fiancée"

I was as shocked as he was. I wasn't expecting to meet his mother. Especially since he has never mentioned her. I suppose I never thought about him meeting my parents either.

Julia smiled, I'm guessing she was surprised as its not everyday your son admits he is about to get married to someone shes never met.

Eventually, We helped Julia bring her  bags into the house and helped her settle into the guest bedroom. We talked over a late lunch and Julia told me about Brandon's younger brother, Zack.

After many hours of conversation with Julia, I became really tired, I felt quite overwhelmed by everything and just wanted to go to sleep. So I decided to say goodnight to Julia and Brandon and go to bed.

Around half an hour later, I heard the door open slowly. Light disappeared from the room as quickly as it had appeared as the door was shut again. The bed dipped and I smiled. I was pulled into a warm and tight embrace. Not long after I fell asleep.

Brandon's P.O.V

Alexia must have gotten tired after a while  of speaking with my mother - I could see it in her eyes.

My mother had told Alexia, in one of her many conversations, about my brother Zack. He is 16, and he had came out as gay aged 13. It wasn't a shock to the family. It was just something we accepted.

A few conversations later, Alexia said she was feeling tired as she has had a long day and was going to bed. I stayed downstairs watching tv for a bit, to give her a little bit of space. Around half an hour later I had finished watching tv myself and went up to Alexia.

I opened the door carefully in hope I wouldn't wake her. She always looked so peaceful well she was sleeping. Her brown hair flowing behind her. I lay down beside her and pulled her into a warm hug. I fell asleep.
