9. and now they're confused lol

two weeks have spent.

zach and mary talked and laughed together like good friends although they wished they had they had more time alone. jack, corbyn, jonah and daniel were suspecting them to be more than just 'two close friends'. zach and mary were extremely touchy and something showed that they weren't friends - maybe their chemistry or the way they looked at each other, or the fact that mary was always stealing zach's hoodies... boys just knew something was up and they wondered when zach would finally admit that he liked her.

only two weeks have spent since mary started to live with them and she was already like their best friend. they were having fun together every day and obviously, they were also working. mary was always giving them advice for their style and even for the problems they had outside their work. jonah found mary really helpful and trustworthy along with the fact that she was getting along very well with zach. if you get what i mean. zach was really expressive and it was easy to know when he liked someone - the way he talked about her already said a lot.

" GUYS, IT'S TIME TO EAT ! " jonah could hear mary calling them. he sighed and came downstairs, intending to go to the kitchen in order to take the plates and set the table but when he entered, he saw zach kissing mary on the neck. they were so busy that they didn't even hear him coming. jonah cleared his throat loudly and zach immediately stopped, his face turning crimson. both mary and him separated and although mary wasn't showing it, jonah knew she was embarrassed.  " aha guess who's coming at the right time! " he laughed sarcastically as he took the plates, heading to the living room.

" don't tell the guys about what you just saw. "

mary's glance was so strong and serious that jonah almost got scared. " what do you mean? nothing happened. " he said as he left the kitchen, still laughing. something was definitely up. next time ill get a room for them istg, thought jonah as he shook his head in desbilief. he knew that they were close, but this close... damn.

omg jonah just saw us dkzizkld this it's so embarrassing why can't he just forget about it-

mary really wished jonah wouldn't say anything about what just happened. she found her relationship with zach really weird - it was like they were dating, but without dating. obviously, she really wanted to get together with zach but she wondered if he felt the same way. she was enjoying their make out session in the kitchen and was quite annoyed that jonah disturbed them. mary couldn't stop thinking about the amazing kiss they had at the cinema and wished they could have the opportunity to do it again - or even more - but since they lived with the guys, they didn't have a lot of intimacy. mary felt more and more attracted to zach and sometimes she just wished there was nobody but them in the house. she wanted to twist her tongue with his and maybe eventually take off his clothes... who knew?

zach focus

shit, why did jonah came right at that moment? zach took a sit at the table as everyone started to eat. but his mind was clouds away from the living room, his thoughts were filled by a pretty brunette with bright green eyes, a cute little nose, lovely dimples... zach could talk about mary's charming points for hours. he liked her and secretly wished he could date her. plus mary whispering his name as he slightly bit the soft and sensitive skin of her neck and near her collarbone was a real turn on. and why everyone's so quiet?!

" zach, mary, i got a question for you. " announced corbyn as he was done eating.

okk, take that back. " yeah? " replied zach and mary at the same time, trading worried looks.

" are you two dating? " asked corbyn as he and the boys looked genuinely curious.

do not panick and do NOT say anything that could make them think that you're dating with mary.
mary was confused but answered anyway " no, we're just friends. "

jonah was coughing way too loud. zach was ready to throw some hands as all the other members looked at him with a smirk. " we're friends, guys, calm down! " insisted zach although he knew they didn't believe him.

" okay, okay! " laughed jonah, looking at zach like 'i haven't said my last word yet'. zach got a bad feeling and knew that they were assuming things but it wasn't really annoying. it was rather exasperating and confusing and he didn't know whether he should confess to mary or not.

daniel was sure that zach liked mary because if he didn't, he wouldn't react like that. now boys and mary were all busy and zach was doing the dishes alone in the kitchen. daniel thought this it was the right moment. he walked in with a smile and took a seat on a chair. " zach, can i talk to you? " daniel was pretty sure that zach already knew what he was going to talk about.

" uh yeah, if you want to. " mumbled the latter, finding suddenly interest in the wall in front of him. he had no choice anyway.

daniel decided to get directly to the heart of the matter. " you have feelings for mary, don't you? " 99,9% sure that he does.

zach hesitated though. " n-no, i don't. "

" says the pot to the kettle. " said daniel sarcastically, rolling his eyes. saying that zach didn't have a crush on mary was like saying that jonah didn't like coffee, which was absurd and unbelievable.

" ok, fine, i want us to get together! happy? " mumbled zach, seemingly annoyed. he probably understood that it was useless to lie to daniel but he hated talking about his feelings.

" i was sure about it! " exclaimed daniel, a smirk growing on his face.

" but don't tell the guys. "

oh, because you think they still didn't notice that you were crushing so freaking hard on her? zach's behavior was stupid because it was evident that he liked mary and he still believed that boys were blind and didn't see anything. " if you like her, why don't you just go for her? " asked daniel, curious. zach was basically really straightforward and it was weird that he still didn't tell mary about his real feelings.

" but i don't know how! have you ever tried to understand what was going on in mary's head?! "

zach looked pissed and daniel wanted to help him. but wait, maybe i know how... " hey, zach, i think i got an idea." he murmured with a serious look, catching zach's attention - considering his glance, all ideas were welcome.
