The following arc (Arc 2) is set during the Vietnam War; both in Australia and as part of the Australian troops deployed to Vietnam as part of the military action. This arc will contain imagery pertaining to war, as well as derogatory terms used by soldiers at the time. Some of this language may be offensive, especially to some of my Asian readers, and I apologise for this. I do not agree with any of the derogatory terms included and had to sincerely consider whether or not I would include this language. In the end, I have decided to include the terms for authenticity (just as I will be including other terms from other languages and eras in later arcs), in the same way that I will be using other military terminology.
In regards to the war content- the history that I hope to represent will be different to the version of history taught in Australian schools; however, whenever I include something specific, it is information that I have references for (and many of those references are from interviews conducted with Vietnam Veterans for an assignment).
Please do not continue to read this arc and then complain about the content/language.
