A Transmigration Novel of Seven Arcs. Nicholas Kim's future unfolded after his death. Despite thinking his rescue of the drowning child was just pure instinct, and his subsequent death merely an unfortunate consequence, the world regarded him as a hero. As such, he was entered into The System and given the opportunity to earn enough karmic points to re-enter his body at the point of death, thereby reviving himself and continuing his life. System: Author: "Aren't you supposed to give him some help?" System: Nicholas: "What kind of author forgets to give the system a voice?" Author: *runs away and hides* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an original work influenced by the many translated Chinese transmigration novels I have read. While I am putting this under the Romance genre (it's an LGBTQI friendly romance so if that's not your thing then save us all the trouble) it's there mostly because there's no other clear cut genre that transmigration novels like this one belong to! Why do we skip between sci-fi, fantasy, ancient settings etc? It would be so much easier for the author if we just stayed put. This story contains mature themes such as suicide and self-harm, mental illness, self-sacrifice, war, and racism and bigotry. I won't be putting disclaimers in front of each chapter with these themes but will include a basic run down of the themes in each Arc as they are written. If the themes and issues included in this story are troubling, or trigger an emotional response in the reader then please, reach out for help and talk to a counsellor. Arc 1- self-sacrifice, domestic violence/abusive relationship, Arc 2- suicide, mental illness, war Arc 3- Arc 4- Arc 5- Arc 6- Arc 7-

War has never been a pleasant thing. Especially in the year 2054 when Quebec enables conscription; the compulsory enrollment into the military. Many people fear as they wait to hear exactly who will be obligated to enroll in the military. Quite a few of Olivia Mercier's friends are on the list of people having to serve in the military until the battle they're apart of ends. Three months later, another list of rolls out and Olivia isn't too shocked to see her name on the list. After all, she fits all the requirements. Except one. And it's one that will exclude her no matter what.

Eleven days ago, Ethan Calloway was drawing a library. Now he's cargo. A border dispute became a war. One treaty triggered another, one mobilization forced the next, until half the world was pulled into a conflict people began calling "The Cascade". Ethan never planned to be a soldier. He was studying architecture when the Aurelian Republic passed the Federal Conscription Act and sent him to Camp Harlan. There, among exhausting drills, bad coffee, rifles, and orders that never seem to end, he meets four men who were supposed to be strangers. Some are afraid. Some are prepared. Some have already seen what war does to people. Together, they learn how to run, fight, trust, fail, and keep going. But Camp Harlan is only the beginning. Beyond its gates, the Cascade is still growing. Cities are falling. Armies are moving. And soon, the five of them will discover that surviving a war is about more than staying alive. CARGO is a character-driven military drama about friendship, fear, love, loss, and ordinary people trying to remain human while the world decides where to send them next.

Suddenly Mortal A phone rings at five a.m. No siren. No knock. Just a call - and the world you knew is over. You are no longer a person. You are a resource. A line in a budget. A unit awaiting write-off. An engineer. A philology student with a worn Brodsky. An old Afghan veteran. A history teacher. Each overtaken by the same knock. The State Machine sets its conveyor belt in motion: a draft notice, a medical board, a training camp, a freight wagon, a trench, a stray fragment, a death notice. People become figures. Figures become accounts. Bandages run out faster than soldiers. Heroism becomes a bookkeeping entry. This war is not waged for victory. It is waged to hold power. To preserve revenue. To justify a regime that would collapse under its own emptiness. The Machine does not want peace - peace would stop the conveyor. But somewhere on that conveyor, a book remains. A copy of Brodsky, wrapped in plastic, passed from hand to hand - from the one who died to the one still alive. To a medic who had no bandages. To a mother who received a death notice but never a grave. While the book is intact, the Machine is not absolute. While its pages have not stuck with blood - someone still remembers. And memory is the one thing that cannot be written off. Written in a grotesque, tragicomic manner, with epigraphs from Nietzsche to Brodsky and an intonation echoing Bulgakov's satire, Suddenly Mortal is not merely a novella. It is a document. A testimony. A fragment lodged in memory. What will you do when the Machine wakes again - and the dead ring louder than any anthem?

In late-apartheid South Africa, Pieter Fourie is a gifted young teacher from a poor family whose future seems set at last. Then conscription tears him out of that life and sends him into the machinery of the border war. Hardened by training and drawn into the legendary 32 Battalion, Pieter learns the brutal grammar of loyalty, endurance, and command in a world where competence can mean survival and obedience can cost a man his soul. But the war's deepest wound comes after the fighting, when the battalion is discarded and its men are sent to Pomfret, a poisoned settlement where betrayal settles into everyday life. When the Buffalo Fell is a historical novel about soldiering, class, brotherhood, memory, and the long human cost of being used by history and then left behind.

Hunter called himself an archaeologist, but he was a modern day treasure hunter. Tiyana was a scientist devoted to her craft. They were passionate people, wholly devoted to their work. Neither of them had time for love. Neither of them could resist it when it happened. Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges. Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain. Testimonials: "Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!" - Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader "This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise." -IridescentLies, Wattpad Reader http://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com
