1942- Nazi Germany marches into François Fountaine's small Luxembourg town. Overnight, his people are told they are German now. Their flag is torn down, their language forbidden, their identity erased. Days after his eighteenth birthday, the soldiers come for him. Conscripted into the Wehrmacht under the threat that refusal will cost his family everything, François faces an impossible choice: lose those he loves, or lose himself to the bloodshed to protect them. Choosing the latter, he is thrust into World War II wearing the uniform of his occupiers, but he makes a single vow. If he must die, it will not be as a German soldier. He will tear off the uniform and die as he was born: Luxembourgish. ⚠️⚠️ATTENTION⚠️⚠️: ALL OFF-SITE LINKS OR CONTACT INFORMATION WILL BE IGNORED AND REMOVED. This is a story of redemption and turmoil, violence and ambition, love and loss, and of course, Australia. This is quite an epic piece of writing, and the only thing that drew me to it was my recent interest in traveling to Australia and checking out the place for a while. I was searching for any interesting reading about the country and stumbled across this. This appealed to my literary side as well, because the story sounded so interesting, and I thought that it would put me in the proper mindset to really start making decisions about my trip. I am still just as undecided, but I have gained a hell of a lot of appreciation for the Australian landscape, and quite a bit of love for Gordon Smith along the way. He crafts a long-winded, but beautifully crafted story of a family through half a dozen generations, in a way that few authors would date to undertake. Not only that, he balanced family dynamics and a rich narrative with some of the most impactful events in modern history. There was a wealth of research behind this book to make so much of it so believable, and for that alone, I would respect the author and give him five stars. However, what really pushed this book over the edge of great for me was his diligent character work - bringing these people to life for us, his readers, as we watch them grow as individuals and evolve as a family unit. Truly Impressive Stuff!

A Transmigration Novel of Seven Arcs. Nicholas Kim's future unfolded after his death. Despite thinking his rescue of the drowning child was just pure instinct, and his subsequent death merely an unfortunate consequence, the world regarded him as a hero. As such, he was entered into The System and given the opportunity to earn enough karmic points to re-enter his body at the point of death, thereby reviving himself and continuing his life. System: Author: "Aren't you supposed to give him some help?" System: Nicholas: "What kind of author forgets to give the system a voice?" Author: *runs away and hides* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is an original work influenced by the many translated Chinese transmigration novels I have read. While I am putting this under the Romance genre (it's an LGBTQI friendly romance so if that's not your thing then save us all the trouble) it's there mostly because there's no other clear cut genre that transmigration novels like this one belong to! Why do we skip between sci-fi, fantasy, ancient settings etc? It would be so much easier for the author if we just stayed put. This story contains mature themes such as suicide and self-harm, mental illness, self-sacrifice, war, and racism and bigotry. I won't be putting disclaimers in front of each chapter with these themes but will include a basic run down of the themes in each Arc as they are written. If the themes and issues included in this story are troubling, or trigger an emotional response in the reader then please, reach out for help and talk to a counsellor. Arc 1- self-sacrifice, domestic violence/abusive relationship, Arc 2- suicide, mental illness, war Arc 3- Arc 4- Arc 5- Arc 6- Arc 7-

Hunter called himself an archaeologist, but he was a modern day treasure hunter. Tiyana was a scientist devoted to her craft. They were passionate people, wholly devoted to their work. Neither of them had time for love. Neither of them could resist it when it happened. Neither of them knew that the world would need the two of them to save it from a tyrannical pre-historic overlord, his cyborg vampire paramour, and their army of mindless drudges. Dawn of the Epoch is an epic science fiction novel about dark matter, death rays, nuclear warfare, and the Large Hadron Collider, but it is also a fantasy novel about medieval warriors, alchemy, and ancient gods. Dawn of the Epoch blends fantasy with reality, bringing mythology to life today. It is also an apocalyptic thriller spanning the globe from the Pyramids of Egypt to the heart of Africa to the majesty of the Himalayas. It is an epic hybrid-genre story with intense action sequences, magic, mythology, suspenseful plot twists, countless obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, and an utterly Machiavellian supernatural villain. Testimonials: "Probably one of my favorite books I've read to date. Brilliantly complex, adoringly rendered and quizzically intense. A must read and one I plan to revisit, and share!" - Amgwatts, Wattpad Reader "This has to be one of the most original and well written novels I have had the pleasure to read, on Wattpad and in general. It was captivating, interesting, immersive and above all, fantastic. I was left in awe of the beings, history and world you created. It was never dull, dry or predicable and it was a nice change from what seems to be the ever popular teen romance with vampires or werewolves or 'bad boys that are actually romantic good boys.' In the end it was a very pleasant surprise." -IridescentLies, Wattpad Reader http://dawnoftheepoch.weebly.com
