Rotten Souls

Part 4

It was her chance to leave the room and let the two of them spend some "quality" time together. She entered her bedroom and wore a pair of silk PJs and laid on her bed. She took a deep breath and was about to get some sleep but then her phone buzzed.
The screen of her iPhone shined in the room and she got her phone on her hands.

It was a message from miss swan.
Emma: can you meet me at Granny's in 10'?
Regina: are you insane? I'm taking care of Henry. And let me remind you that I don't wanna talk with you about my eye!

Emma: I'm outside of your house and I can see from the window Daniel and Henry downloading music.. I'm pretty sure they are both busy and someone is clearly taking care of Henry ;). And who told that I wanna talk about your eye?

Regina: ok miss swan enough. I'll be at Granny's in 10'.
She shut her phone down and she had that mixed feeling of anxiety of meeting Emma and annoyence. Emma was supposed to be an annoying person that Regina almost hated. But lately she seemed to enjoy all those small family fights with Emma. She loved each teasing her.

Maybe she liked all those things because she was weak. But she felt like it was something more. She smiled once again as she checked her phone and got out of her PJs.
She got ready and headed to the door but she felt a hand grabbing hers and stopping her. She almost fell on his chest but she managed to balance herself.

"What is it Daniel?" Daniel looked at her with a cold look on his face.she hadn't noticed Henry till then , but Henry was standing behind of Daniel his eyes widened and his mouth too. Regina relaxed her face muscles. She tried to look polite rather than angry or scared.

"Where do you think you're going?"
"Emma said she needed to talk to me. I won't be late." She looked at Henry and thought he would get worried but instead he blinked at Regina. He knew! She felt ashamed. Really ashamed. He knew her secret. He knew about Daniel...

She took a deep breath and rubbed Daniel's arm to make him calm. Daniel kept staring at her thinking.
"Do you want me to come and pick you up?"
"No no! I got my car."
She answered and her voice started trumbling. She needed to get out of the house before break into tears in front of everyone.

"Ok then. Have fun." He said and gave her a kiss. She despised his kisses. They reminded her what he did to her and how it started. He turned to Henry and Regina walked out of the house sobbing quietly . She rubbed her face in an effort to calm herself down.
She got into her car and headed to Granny's. She walked into the store and saw Emma sitting at the corner drinking a beer. She looked breathtaking.

Wearing a red short dress. Redlipstick and her hair high in a ponytail. It was a really girly look for Emma..tho the beer didn't actually suit her dressing but guess that's what made her special. Regina sat next to her and waved.
"just on time queeny. Would you care for a beer?"

Regina declined irritated.
"I'm not drinking beer Emma. I would go with a glass of wine."
"Always so careful of what will people around you think of you. You should relax for a moment Regina. Take a deep breath , drink a beer act normal for a while. You'll definitely feel relaxed. And you need that."

Emma ordered two beers when the waitress Ruby came to their way and regina murmured annoyed.
"You're unbelievable." She stated and crossed her hands under her chest. Emma smiled innocently and fixed her hair..then she examined Regina for a sec and spoke.

"Ok you better start talking unless you wanna stay in here all night!" Emma warned Regina and raised her eyebrow. Regina rolled her eyes.
"Thought we were going to talk about something else."

Emma laughed ironically. "Thought you were smarter madam mayor. After so many fights and betrayals of your enemies you keep bitting my words so easily."
Regina stayed quiet and kept looking that drink called beer. It actually tasted amazing but she kept making a grimance whenever she took a ship. There was no chance to show Emma she was right once again.

"Regina I want you to know that I'm here for you, I got your back but I need you to help me help you . It's not good for the soul if you keep all those feelings inside of you. You should let them out."

Regina drunk another ship, grimance , and got surprised as she felt Emma's hand holding her. It was warm ,soft and smelled like a flower. Regina smirked and held Emma's hand back.
*What did Daniel do to you Regina?"
Emma asked again and Regina raised her eyebrow surprised hearing his name.

"Why would you think it's Daniel?"
"If any enemy of yours here in Storybrooke tried to hurt you we would have known. Daniel is the only one who can do that privately and no one finds one. Plus I've been chatting with Henry all night and he told me how weird he was."

Regina played with her fingers and bowed down her head. She brought up all those terrible memories no matter how hard she tried not to. She felt her eyes watering... She couldn't let those tears out. Not in front of Emma. It would be dangerous after all to confirm Emma opinion.

Emma is the sheriff and she would definitely press charges against Daniel and get matters to her own hands. She thought she could protect Regina.
"Can you at least say something?"
"Say what Emma? That you're fucking right? That every time I look at that beast I think about what he did to me! He rapped me! Without my own fucking will Emma! He bit me up too! How does that sound to you? That someone managed to hurt the evil queen! A lot of people are going to be glad about it after all. I finally paid for what I did!"

She felt the hot tears running on her cheeks. She couldn't look at Emma in the eyes.. she was afraid and ashamed...
