Back then when she thought her life was under control. God knows what she was thinking... She reached her house's door and was about to unlock the door but something inside couldn't let her do it.

Emma was in there, probably furious at her. Her son Henry was in there too. Probably disappointed of her. She couldn't lay her eyes on them again. At least not today.

She broke their hearts once. No need to do it twice. She decided not to knock the door and grabbed her black leather bag that she had placed on the floor by her side, and started walking away of the house.

She crossed the road and stood there watching Emma from the window drinking a glass of wine, wearing her comfy Pjs, holding a big pillow in her arms. She didn't look like she was talking to someone. Henry must be asleep by now.

Regina thought and checked out her watch. 11:45... almost midnight. Suddenly the light of the house across the street turned off and eliminated the lightning at the area around the house. The darkness covered Regina's figure and disappeared any signs of her appearance.

She stayed still in the dark for a few minutes sobbing and shaking. She didn't appreciate Emma enough for what she did for her. She gave her a place to stay, food to eat, a bed to sleep, and a family to love her. Regina did nothing for her...

A thank you wasn't enough... She betrayed all those people who took care of her when no one did. But still there was a person she could have laid on but didn't. He was her best friend since child hood.

A loyal friend who had spent with her so many adventures. After getting married to king Leopold Regina lost touch with him. She couldn't face him for some reason.. He eventually found out she run away to get married to the stable boy.

He got devastated. She didn't even say a goodbye. Regina hadn't seen him for 7 years. But she decided that tonight it was the proper time to go over his house and apologise for everything. Yeah... that's right.

He's living in storybrooke. Only he always changes his path whenever he crosses her on the street. Same thing she used to do.  Two people that were once inseparable are now are completely strangers.

Regina got into her car and started it. The road was dark till her friends house. Did she really have the courage to knock someone's door that she had spoken to for so many years?

Was she really sorry for what she did? Or her need for a person holding her hand during a shitty situation was the reason she went there? She reached the house.
Just like she remembered it all those years. The lights were turned off, but in the second floor she could notice a small lamp lighting the room .

His figure was pacing up and down in the room holding talking on the phone, giggling and laughing. She took a deep breath and knocked the door. His face became serious and surprised. Maybe he wasn't used to have this kind of unexpected visitors.

She lost sight of him for  a while when she heard him place his keys in the lock to unlock the door. Her heart was beating so fast that she thought anyone could smell her fear.

The door opened. There he was. Standing in front of her. Eyes wide of surprise and curiosity. His blonde hair where short now not like they used to. He was wearing green sport pants, a brown t-shirt and his brown slippers.

"Regina?" He spelled and cleared his throat still in a little bit of shook. She smiled naively.
"Hello robin."
No matter his efforts to smile back he couldn't. He had surely missed her company but that woman abandoned him.

Or at least it looked to him like she abandoned him all of a sudden for Daniel.
"What do you want here?"
His next question was. He scratched his head uncomfortable and Regina became serious.

"I wanted to talk to you."
"Why? Because now you need my help?"
He raised his left eyebrow and crossed his hands under his chest.

"No no... that's not the reason I came here..." She didn't manage to finish her answer when robin interrupted.
"I was in the trail. You got yourself in real trouble."

"I know... But I felt the need to speak to someone that really gets me..."
"And you realized that you have no one!"
He answered in a cruel look, examining her from head to toes.

"Robin... I just... I've missed you. And I know I acted like a fool. I was in love with daniel when I decided to get away and I should have said a goodbye."

"That's not what actually bothered me Gina. You casted the curse, and so many years living in storybrooke, almost 10 minutes away of you you never bothered to come over and say hello. I've never said a bad word about you. I always supported you in front of the angry citizens."

Regina's eyes watered.
"You're right. Sorry for bothering you."
She was about to turn her back at him when Robin grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him. She couldn't look at him in the eyes. Hot tears were running down her cheeks.

She was tired of fighting with life. Life was cruel at her. A terrible and bitchy mother, an asshole husband and a whole town hating her for her faults.

She sniffed and covered her face with her hands. She fell down on the floor and robin sat behind her quiet, pulling his hands around her. She felt safe near him. His hug was warm and radiating love and care.

"Please don't cry." He spelled fixing her hair.
"I lost my son... Emma... they think I'm a monster. What kind of mother I'm gonna be?" She asked robin crying her eyes out.

"The best." He answered reassuringly with a big smile covering his face.
"They must think I'm crazy to forgive that beast."
"Why did you do it Gina? Did you really think He's changed?"

She sniffed once again. A sob followed and she squeezed close her eyes.
"No..." She moaned while crying again and stopped talking for a few minutes. Robin didn't interrupt the quietness that conquered in the room. He rubbed her back to make her feel better.

"I wanted to give my baby the best chance. Henry has never met his father. I can't even stand the thought that I'm the kind of mother who took away of her child his father."

She groaned sobbing and fell on robin's arms. He held her once again, like he always would.
"Sometimes mums have to be strong and act right for the shake of their child."
Robin answered and caressed her bump.

They stayed quiet on the floor staring at the ceiling while breathing heavily all night. In the meantime Emma was at the living room drinking a glass of red whine not being able to sleep for a sec.

Why? Why would Regina do that? She felt betrayed and useless. She and Henry were both devastated by Regina's choice. She was lost in her thoughts staring at the window.

Then the phone rung. It was midnight how could anyone call that late in the night? She checked the screen of her phone and became pale.

Someone named Neal was calling. Who was that man?....
