Who is Jackieboy Man?

Jackieboy Man is a hero, with little other canon. He's most known for his red suit and blue mask, though Jack does seem quite attracted to the idea that he would continue to build on his costume through time, as the fandom often gives him new costumes, as if he's creating it while he goes. I don't think his powers have been decided on definitively but he has mentioned x-ray vision, and it's possible he has the power of flight, but neither of those are necessarily confirmed canon. He does however seem to have a typical hero attitude and reflect the confidence and charisma of comic book heroes.

His Origin and Appearances

Jackieboy Man's original appearance was in the video, "JACKIEBOY MAN RETURNS | Welcome to the Game #2", posted to Jack's channel on July 10, 2016. It's sort of a pseudo-canon video where Jack seems to slip in and out of a character through out the let's play.

The most confusing part of the video is the title, Jackieboy Man RETURNS, even though this is his first appearance. The first reference of Jackieboy Man however, is in the video, "SPIDERMAN STEALS ALL YOUR STUFF | Very Organized Thief". At the beginning, he calls himself Jackieboy Man while dressed as Spiderman, though he refers to himself as Spiderman for the rest of the let's play. Even more confusing, during JACKIEBOY MAN RETURNS, he starts to say it's the first super hero let's play and stops himself to admit that Spiderman did one before.

Jackieboy Man then seems to jump channels into the Ninja Sex Party music video of "Cool Patrol".

Though, this version sports a red mask instead of a blue one, and has a cape. I'm not sure if it's ever been confirmed if this actually was Jackieboy Man, and it's unknown if this would at all be canon for anything, but he certainly bears a resemblance to Jackieboy Man.

Jackieboy Man's next appearance was in, "THE HERO WE NEED | South Park: The Fractured But Whole - Part 2", when he showed up to play the super hero based game.

In fact, Jackieboy Man turned up for the entire let's play from then onwards, from part 2, all the way to part 13. The twelve instances of the super hero are pseudo-canon at best, with Jack saying it didn't mean anything for the character, he just wanted to dress up for the series. It certainly seemed that while he made references to his super hero get up from time to time, he mostly slips back to himself for the game play aspects.

Not canon, not that anything has been canon to this point, there was an animation made that featured Jackieboy Man that was posted to Jack's channel. "Jacksepticeye Animated | JACKIEBOY MAN BACK IN JACKTION!" made by none other than the pixlpit. The cute video about the super hero's adventures, featured the other egos, but was mostly about Jackieboy Man. The video was also uploaded under a similar name to pixlpit's channel.

Jackieboy gets mentioned more than he appears or is visually referenced, but in any case, it's likely that he'll turn up again with Jack's continued ego antics, or next time he needs a hero.

MY Jackieboy Man

The hero doesn't really have canon, so I write him as sort of a standard hero. A strong moral compass, cares about people, and has a generally uplifting attitude. I try to keep him kind of in line with PMA, and also give him a bit of Jack's personality, like I do with all of them.

I jump around on how intense of a hero Jackieboy is. I sometimes have him doing more moral boosting things than actual saving-the-day heroics... like meeting fans, saving cats from trees, etc, but I do sometimes have him handle bigger situations, like saving people from burning buildings.

I also play around with his powers, sometimes playing it off like he doesn't have a lot of powers, and other times I give him more. I often give him the ability to fly, or at least to float, allowing him to leave through windows, like Spiderman often did, since I think it's fitting for a hero based off Jack.
