For a moment, Souza's vision went white. When he woke up, his body was heavy. He was instantly aware that he was no longer a spirit, but a sword warrior in a human body.
The room around him was dark and dusty, and in the center stood a girl with messy (H/C) hair and a large smile.
"Souza Samonji! I can't believe it! I've always wanted to meet you!"
Souza looked her over, and frowned.
"Why? Are you that eager to have the symbol of conquerors in your service?"
She tilted her head. "More like, you've been through so much and survived, so it's a pleasure to meet you, Souza! I'm (L/N) (F/N)! The government wants me to be your master, but I don't really care, so just do whatever."
She held out a hand, and hesitantly, Souza reached out to shake it.
This girl was odd, indeed.

Souza was surrounded by flames, heat licking his now human skin. When he woke up, he was surrounded by blankets and darkness.
That's right...I'm at the Citadel...
It had been a month since he arrived, and that whole time, he'd been plagued by nightmares.
Familiar now with the routine of trying not to wake Sayo, he prepared to get up and get some fresh air, only for a hand to cover his mouth.
He grabbed the wrist, prepared to break it if necessary, and looked up to see (F/N) a grin on her face and a finger over her mouth.
"You're getting some fresh air, right?" she whispered. "You wanna have tea with me?"
He frowned at her, and, tossing the idea around for a few moments, nodded.
(F/N) led him through the citadel at a brisk pace, all the way to the porch in front of her office. There, the tea was already set out, as if she knew this would happen.
She poured some for him, and he took a sip before speaking.
"Why were you in my room?"
She shrugged, kicking her legs as they hung over the side of the balcony. "I wanted to talk to you."
"In the middle of the night?"
She changed the subject. "You've been having nightmares, right?"
"As you just observed, since you broke into my room."
She ignored him. "I have those, too, sometimes. There's something that's supposed to help."
Curious, Souza watched as she reached into her yukata and pulled out a decoration made of wood, string, and feathers.
"This is called a dream catcher," she explained. "The native people of America created it to trap nightmares. They said only good dreams could get through hole in the middle."
"That's just a superstition, right?" Souza asked.
"This one's different." She shoved it in his face. "I enchanted it with my spiritual power, see?"
Upon closer inspection, Souza noted a (Favorite Color) glow around it.
"I see..." he took it gingerly. "You think it will work?"
"Of course it will!"
Satisfied with her work, she laid down with her head in his lap. "Is it okay if I sleep here? I'm tired."
