Moonlight Princess [Slow-Update]

Chapter 2: It's time to wake up.

A pair of brown orbs were narrowed in concentration, while the owner used all her strength to pull the string while trying to stay calm. She released a light breath, then let go of the string, the arrow shooting straight to the red coloured dot.

"You did well Moon." Applause was heard behind her. There, a forest green head was sitting, watching her.

Moon let out soft sigh. "Is this the thing you wanted me to help you with senpai?"

"Why not? I just want to practice shooting alone." He stood up and got ready to shoot.

"Why don't you just practice alone then?" She said, irritated by the way her senpai used her.

"It's boring to do this alone with nobody watching." He released the arrow and it hit the bullseye.

"Then why don't you just call your fans? They would be more than happy to help you." She crossed her arms and pouted.

'Cute...' the green head thought as he scratched his cheek, "With all that screaming and shouting? I can't concentrate on my practice with all that noise."

"You know senpai, because of what you said this afternoon, all of your fans are targeting me now." Moon started to collect all the arrows and her bow. "They all adore you like a prince. A beautiful prince who is being nice to an ordinary plain girl like me." Her eyelids droop as tears threaten to spill.

"What's wrong with me being nice to my sister? Also, I am a prince. In my previous life that is." His serious demeanour expressed his honesty on the subject.

"That again? Look senpai, there is no way a plain girl like me could have a pretty brother like you. Besides, does it even exist? This previous life that you are talking about." Agate's words really annoyed her.

"But you are beautiful too you know." He smiled innocently, the smile which seriously irritated Moon.

'LIKE I WOULD BELIEVE THAT!'

"I'm going home. Leon is probably worried sick..." She slung her bag onto her shoulder, and walked towards the door.

"Moon..."

Said girl tilted her head towards Agate. Her eyes met with his serious emerald ones. "Be careful on your way home." It was as though time froze, as all movement stopped; a sudden breeze passing through them. Moon then knew something was about to happen, she could feel it.

"Alrighty A-ga-te nii-sama." She smiled, trying to calm her pounding heart.

A small sigh was let out, "And here I thought that he was going to walk me home." Moon muttered, disappointed. As she looked upwards to the sky, its red hue somehow reminded her of something.

"Moon, did you know? When you were born, the world was painted in red. The maple trees were sparkling beautifully and there was a full moon that was shining bright on you. At that time I knew your name was to be Golden Moon."

"Eh?"

She looked back to where the voice came from. However, there wasn't anyone there, only a strong wind passing by her. She turned back, but as she was about to continue her walk home, she saw a big full moon that she swore wasn't there a few minutes ago. She knew something wasn't right. Her heart started to pound rapidly, and she ran to avoid the trouble she felt was coming.

"AH!!"

Something passed through her, making her stop abruptly, she looked everywhere but there was no one around. She was sure that something hit her just now, her cheek stung from an unknown cause. As she touched it, it began to feel even more painful, then she noticed the blood on her finger where she had just touched her cheek. Her legs somehow felt heavier than before, was it because she just ran? No. It was because of the bad feeling she that she had right now.

She heard a rustle behind a streetlight in front of her. Then, she saw a black shadow-like creature, and Moon had to narrow her eyes just to see it clearly. A pair of red eyes stared back at her in return. She knew that she needed to run, but her legs felt like they was stuck to the ground, rendering her unable to move. Suddenly the shadow started off full speed towards her. All she could do at that moment, was close her eyes and pray for someone to help her.

Agate, who was busy locking the club-room's door suddenly looked up at sky, as he felt some new energy awakening.

Pyrite, who was walking while listening to his music, also suddenly stopped, as he watched the full moon appear in the sky. He could also feel the energy, energy that he never felt for a long time.

A man hid in the shadows inside a house, his raven black orbs looking to the moon through a window. He smirked.

"It's time to wake up, my beloved Moon."
