Margaux LeMarchal was tired, and she needed rest. Never rest until you have accomplished the goal you set when you woke up. Her father’s words echoed inside her head, like a ghost. Her father had been killed recently, decapitated by a helicopter propeller…and she was sure Emily was behind it. On top of that, her boyfriend Daniel Grayson was behind bars, also Emily’s doing.

Margaux deemed revenge was the only path left, and with Voulez behind her, she was ready to take down Emily. Emily could be easily exposed, with a true story or false. And she decided that it was time to draft a story, and first, she needed a source.

  Victoria Harper.

Margaux, being the organised person everyone knew her to be, had already booked an appointment with Ms Grayson. Well, it was more like Ms Harper, due to the death of her husband. Margaux wondered if Victoria knew. She also wondered if she would care.

Margaux pushed the double doors open and stepped into the psychiatric ward.

The receptionist smiled at her. “Good morning, Ms LeMarchal.”

Margaux turned to the receptionist. “Morning.”

“Ms Harper is ready for you.”

  “Perfect,” Margaux replied.

When Margaux entered the white room, she immediately knew Victoria’s condition. Tired, stressed, starving…psychotic. Margaux was glad that Victoria was restrained to the bed, because if not she was sure Victoria would rip her throat out.

Margaux sat down on a chair, a reasonable distance from Victoria’s bed. She pulled out her iPad and set herself up for the interview. “Morning, Ms Harper.”

Victoria sighed and mumbled something under her breath. “What the hell do you want?”

Margaux smiled. “I only want an interview with the former First Lady of New York.”

Victoria glared at Margaux. “Cut the bullshit and tell me why you’re really here.”

Margaux’s smile grew even wider. “I’m here for the story of Amanda Clarke.”

Victoria grinned. “Well, then do I have a story to tell.”
