By the time Margaux had arrived at Emily’s Housewarming Party, everyone else had arrived.
Margaux’s arrival was noticed by Emily. Of course it was.
Emily walked up to Margaux. “Margaux, how nice of you to join us.”
Margaux half-smiled. “Believe me, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Emily smiled back. “Of course not.”
Margaux looked behind Emily. “Has everyone arrived?”
Emily continued to smile. “Yes, unlike someone, they bothered to come on time.”
Margaux chuckled. "Well, I was caught up at work planning the next issue of Voulez. It is very...revealing." Margaux nudged her shoulder against Emily's and walked past. She looked over her shoulder. "Soon, everyone will know the truth, Amanda Clarke." She continued to walk towards the party and away from Emily.
Emily rolled her eyes and walked up the stairs to her bedroom.
