Asweera was bored as she sat in front of Zara (the shop), waiting for her brother to come out with Shamaila and her brother Rahil along with his family. The kids were playing in the wide area behind her. She yawned as she watched people enter and exit the shop. A large board beside the shop proclaimed a decent sale. She shook her head in defeat, as she saw the number of people entering the shop, due to the proclamation. She had always felt Zara's collection was never upto her taste. Her brothers loved the brand though, along with her sisters in law.
This particular shop in Yas, atleast had decent seats placed before their shop to rest, when shopping became too tiresome. Granted that the seats belonged to another cafe, beside it. Perched in an armchair, she watched as the women exited the women's section of the shop, either with friends or family. Most of the Arab women she saw exiting with kids, had nannies following them around in uniforms. She cringed at the sight, thankful for her niqaab that covered her expressions. She had nothing against nannies. She preferred more of hands on kind of upbringing though, as she had always been a witness to that. But, to each their own she supposed as she turned away from the latest customer exiting the shop, to watch a couple sitting in the Caffè Nero beside Zara. They were smiling at each other and just being themselves. Asweera smiled as her mind flashed to Farhan. This was a thought that brought her comfort and an ache at the same time.
She wanted to be with him as soon as possible. He was quite established in his job nowadays and soon the date was going to be fixed for their marriage. She was impatiently waiting for that day as she didn't want to continue with the sin of their unmarried correspondence and yet didn't have the heart to call it off. She could just wait and hope for the best and continue to do istaghfar.
Earlier that day, she had sat in her room and made her special assignmemt notes on 'IbaaduRrahmaan'. And the points and the sweetness of those words still lingered in her mind. She sighed as she thought of those special slaves of Allah, who were singled out by their Lord in His' book (Surah Furqaan).
IbaaduRrahmaan- Let's understand the phrase before we move on to the topic. 'Abd' means slave. The plural of the word 'Abd' are two. One is 'Abeed' and the other is 'Ibaad' but Abeed is used for all the slaves of Allah without any distinction, whereas Ibaad is a word used for special slaves of Allah. The beginning of the Ayah is already set on differentiating these mentioned people from others. It has already set the stage and declared that these people who will be mentioned ahead are special. They are different and beloved to the Almighty Allah. Also He didn't use any of His countless names. He SubhanahuwaTa'ala chose to use the name Rahmaan. Rahmaan is when the love and mercy of Allah Zuljalalah is at it's extreme and also it's immediate. He chose His slaves to be distinguished by this beautiful name of His'. These are people are the ones who are shown extreme love and mercy from Rabbilaalameen. Below are the qualities of IbaaduRrahmaan . It isn't necessary that the poeple of this category have all the mentiones qualities. They might have just one or two or many of them or all of them, they still qualify as IbaaduRrahmaan. And even if you do have one or two qualities of this group, make sure you cultivate more of these qualities within yourself because these are some beautiful qualities to have.
