Gabriel walked into town with a smile, remembering the old times when he would run around with Annabelle, causing trouble and then laughing their asses off before running away so they wouldn't get caught.
He sighed and went to the small apartment he had bought a few weeks before.
After waiting a few hours for the moving truck to arrive, it arrived and he mumbled "Finally", he didn't have a lot of things, just a few pieces of furniture and the diaries that told his entire life and all his feelings, he decided he would buy everything he needed later.
When he had everything in place he went to a supermarket where he bought all he needed in order to go to school.
Yes, Gabriel was going to go to school.
''Mystic Falls High School" he read and walked in, he was searching for the principal's office when he stopped walking and his eyes widened as he saw someone who looked just like Katherine Pierce, or as he knew her, Katerina Petrova.
"That's imposible" He thought, but then he remembered about doppelgängers and sighed tired of all that stuff.
He shook his head and walked towards the girl, he needed to be her friend, not because she looked like Katherine, but because she looked sad and he thought she could use a new friend.
Gabriel touched her shoulder making her turn towards him and smiled.
"Hey, I was wondering if you could tell me where the principal's office is? I'm Gabriel by the way, Gabriel Haynes" He said with a smile and waited for her to reply, the doppelgänger gave him a small smile too.
"Of course, that door over there, I'm Elena" She told him and pointed towards a door near them, Gabriel thanked her before going that way.
He checked in after compelling the woman that didn't want to let him without any transcripts.
Gabriel felt like something was wrong at the school but shrugged it off and walked to his History classroom.
He felt how everyone looked at him as he walked down the corridors, he smirked knowing the stares were because of his good looks, Gabriel knew he was hot and he wasn't going to be modest about it.
Once in class he sat at the end and smiled knowing he was going to have fun if the History teacher made a mistake.
"Once our home state of Virginia joined confederacy in 1861, it created a tremendous amount of tension within the state. People in Virginia's northwest region had different ideals than those from the traditional deep south. Then Virginia divided in 1863 with the northwest region joining the union" The teacher explained and Gabriel started looking around, he saw a boy who looked really familiar to him but didn't really think about it as he could just see his back.
