The Pledge

Chapter 6

Haha, this should be interesting. I'm a nominee. Now all I gotta do is make up a Pledge. Who for though? I need advice but I can't get any because this is a top secret, confidential, annual thing.

After about 5 minutes of deciding who I should choose for the Pledge, I finally made up my mind, and chose Masyn Tyler. I chose her because she seems like an easy target. But now I need to use my brain properly for the second time tonight, to choose a pledge for Masyn. I start to think of all the possible ideas I could choose, but they're all crap ideas.

I start to think what the other nominees would think of, and who'd they choose for the Pledge. Noah comes to mind first, I reckon he'll choose Xander, and make him go out with Kimberly. Let me tell you now, it's not a pretty thought. I then picture James choosing Abby and getting her to turn into the schools teacher's pet. Oh, she'd hate that!

I stop thinking about all the other nominees and chose to focus on my own pledge. Maybe I should get her to become a flirt to all the men teachers. Nah, that's a crap idea. More shit ideas come to mind, until I think of the most perfect pledge for little Masyn. I think it's perfect, and I think it'll make us pretty close mates. Ha ha.

She'll be in for a rude shock. I know for a fact that Masyn doesn't like me, and that she thinks poorly of me. But soon enough, that'll all change with my fantastic pledge. I honestly think that we can actually become best friends, but I don't really think she does.
Noah all got us to write down our pledges. After we wrote them, we had to put it in his favourite Vans hat. We weren't allowed to put our names on the pledges though otherwise we'd need to make up new pledges. I carefully put my pledge Into the hat, hoping for the best and this doesn't turn out to be a screw up. After a while, everyone else put their pledges into the hat and Noah and James selected one time. James read the first one out.
"Okay, first Daredevil Pledge of the year/semester will be announced shortly. Make sure you are definitely confident about your pledge to your chosen person and make sure no one finds out who chose who otherwise you will be disqualified from the pledge." James says.
I've really got nothing to worry about, I mean seriously, with my strategics, nobody will find out and I will win this year's pledge. Too easy!

Uhm Josh, you'd better think again. It's the DareDevil Pledge. It's not easy whatsoever.
So what does everyone think of this book so far? I wonder what Josh's Pledge is for Masyn. Is she in for a rude shock?
