Ok sooo I'm pretty sure most of you are wondering wtf why did America hurt himself when he never showed signs of it?well here is what happened.America during the Great Depression became sducidal
and depressed.After the Great Depression he became better but that part of him took hold in his fears.Most notably the fear of being insulted by other countries.So whenever a lot of countries are name calling him and insulting him or his country he will start cutting when he gets home and that side takes over.The reason why he cut and became depressed was because his mask,his world is coming down his secret relationship with Russia is gonna come out and everyone is gonna pity him and he hates that he wants to keep it like it's normal.
