Chapter 12: Unforgiving

"Would you tell why you had to drag all of us?" Ruki was clearly mad, and holding it against me.

"Hmmm..Would you believe me if I said I needed you?" I leaned closer to Azusa, who squirmed away, with a red tint on his cheeks in the dim lights of the street lights that were quickly disappearing, only to be quickly replaced.

"No." Ruki said bitterly, even more angry that his younger brother had shown even the tiniest bit of weakness.

"Oh well...I tried..I need you to distract him." I sighed, trying to remember each identical street lamp, but only to be replaced over and over.

'Kind of like humans.'

"Him? What do you mean?" Ruki leaned forward, interested and cutting me away from my thoughts.

"His brother. Richer." And Ruki leaned back, letting out an somewhat relived sigh.

"We don't even know him." Yuma hissed at me, quiet before, along with Kou.

"I don't really care if you never met him, just try to distract him, and the Sakamakis."

"And why should we?" Kou asked, in his annoying tone.

"She'll awaken as a vampire..." My voice no longer in a commanding tone.

"Eve? If that's it, even better." Ruki said.

"Of course not the Eve!" I yelled, but was able to manage my voice.

The car, slowly stopped, the engine purring, no longer blocked out by the beating wind.

"Only this one time, will I ask you again." My teeth gritted each other, as I threw away every bit of my pride, and lowered my head down while folding my hands neatly on my knees. "I...beg...of you...help..me.." It hurt to keep my head down, my words coming out slowly in heavy breaths.

"Aww..How pitiful, though I like this feeling of someone begging." Kou said while bursting into a loud laugh.

"To think you would actually beg us, isn't today a lucky day?" Ruki chuckled, as I kept my eyes closed.

"Fine. We'll help. Since you so nicely asked us." Ruki, saying the last part in a sly voice, even using his hands to quote around his words.

I lifted my head, my face hot, and trying to fish back my pride that was lost in a vast sea.

"Are you okay...?" Azusa asked me, seeing my frozen figure.

"Don't worry about her, she probably trying to get back what little pride she has left." Kou said, closing the car door, his loud laughs reaching everywhere.

Taking a long breath, I reopened my eyes, finding myself alone. Sitting still for a minute, I got out and strode toward the manor that was underneath the unforgiving moon that was dyed was blood.

"How funny, today, you'll die twice on the blood moon." My voice empty.

'Just like me, and mother.'

Letting the front gates and door open for me, I started walking toward a small chorus of voices. Passing halls with locked rooms, antique vases and art, and a door, with broken chains littered around it. If there was one scent I knew too well, was Yui's, but now, it was mixed with something else. Like lavender, with vanilla, and the faint smell of metallic blood.

Hiding behind a corner, I could see, the Sakamakis and Mukamis having some argument. While Richer only watched.

'Not exactly what I wanted, but at least he's not looking.'
