"Like Einstein once said, "Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas", a teacher said as she taught her last class of the day. Many students were sleeping, others drawing on their notes, while two in particular. A boy and a girl around the age of seventeen. They were passing notes back and forth. The girl smiled as she handed the boy next to her another note. "Preston", the teacher said sternly as the boy looked at her, "Can you read that note for us?" The boy was about to answer when the girl next to him started screaming. As if she were in pain.
The girl looked as if she were nine months pregnant, which was odd because she hadn't been pregnant until that very second. The teacher looked at her student in horror as she dialed for the nurse waiting for her to pick up. Right when the nurse heard what was happening, she rushed over with towels and a bucket of water. The two older women brought the girl behind the teacher's desk as the young girls screaming persisted. Soon enough a baby cry was heard, leaving the whole class confused and concerned about what just happened in front of them.
While the girl had the baby in her arms, a man in what looked like his early fifties, walked into the room and said, "Magnificent." The girl looked him in the eyes confused. She didn't know this man, and she didn't know what his intentions would be. He then spoke again asking, "How much do you want for it?" The girl looked at him with disbelief.
On the 12th hour of the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual only in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began. Sir Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible. He got eight of them.
The man was walking to his mansion with eight carriages following him. There were three girls and five boys. As the man walked into the fancy house, he stopped in the living room. He faced the children and smiled.
