The heavy atmosphere surrounding the columbarium. The silent weeps, the sobs were the emotion everyone sent to Mrs. Kim on the last day of her funeral
Taehyung as the chief mourner of Mrs. Kim he was the one who's asked to place the urn of his grandmother in the columbarium.
Without shedding a tear he placed the urn of his grandmother in the columbarium, he touched the name engraved on the urn. Without blinking, he closed the glass, he took a step back and stood beside Sujeong.
Jungkook, Yein, Yein's family and Jungkook's family, Taehyung's closest friends, relatives and his grandmother's friend were present at the funeral.
Sujeong held Taehyung's hands. Taehyung glanced at her direction. He was calm and collected but when Sujeong saw the look in his eyes, she saw how close he is to breaking down.
He lost another important person in his life, and other than that, at the age of 23 he needs to take over his grandmother's company. The pressure combined with his grief is too much for him.
He needs to show everyone that he's strong and he can continue with his life, but he is barely holding onto it.
Sujeong held his hand tighter as they look at Mrs Kim's urn.
After the ceremony they all left the columbarium.
"We'll get going Taehyung. You can always call me bro okay?" Jungkook said as he tapped Taehyung's shoulder.
With a small faint smile, Taehyung nodded his head.
"Sis, if you need anything. You know what to do." Yein said to Sujeong with a knowing look.
Sujeong took a deep breath before nodding her head.
Everyone already left, leaving the four of them and now Jungkook and Yein are about to leave.
Sujeong watched their back as the two walked away. She then sat beside Taehyung on the bench in front of the columbarium building.
Sujeong hugged Taehyung.
"Its just the two of us. You can cry I'll be right here." Sujeong said as she rub circles on Taehyung's back.
And on cue, Taehyung starts to cry.
"W-h-hy Sujeong? W-h-hy did g-gra-ndma lef-t m-e?" Taehyung asked as he sobbed hard.
Sujeong shut her eyes closed.
She can feel her heart clenching seeing how vulnerable Taehyung is right now.
"Your grandma is in a better place now Taehyung. She doesn't need to suffer anymore."
Sujeong knows she's not strong willed. She's the same as Taehyung. And if she'll ever be in Taehyung's shoes, she bet she'll be worse than him.
But she needs to put that aside so Taehyung can rely on her.
Taehyung continued to cry and Sujeong consoled him.
They went back to the mansion after the funeral. Sujeong went to the kitchen to cook for the two of them.
Taehyung on the other hand went upstairs. Sujeong told him to take a rest since he haven't got any good sleep for 4 days. But instead of taking a rest he finds himself standing in front of his grandmother's room.
Taking a deep breath he reached for the knob and opened the door.
When he opened the door the machines and apparatus that was used on his grandmother was now removed and her room is now clean and organized just like before.
He stepped inside the room, closing the door behind him.
He walked towards his grandmother's bed. He felt grief and longing for his grandmother.
He sat at the edge of the bed and touched the new sheets soon he laid on his side as he touch the covers.
A lone tear fell from his eyes followed by another, and another until he was already silently crying wetting the sheets.
For 15 years he lived with his grandmother, she was his teacher, a mother, a father, a playmate, a pillow, a shoulder to cry on. She was everything to him.
He was able to cope with his parents death because of his grandmother and now, she's gone.
He doesn't know where to start picking up the pieces to mend the broken pieces of his life that was taken by his grandmother.
He's lost.
He was very thankful to Sujeong for being by his side, she was there at his toughest days when his grandmother is suffering.
She was there to lift up his spirit.
And he knows that Sujeong already holds a part of him, and he doesn't know what to do if she'll leave him too.
He might lose his sanity that's he's barely holding onto when he will also lose Sujeong.
She's now his strength.
"I hope you're happy grandma." He uttered sobbing.
"I love you. " he mumbled before drifting off to sleep.
Sujeong went upstairs after cooking lunch. She went to Taehyung's room but he's not there.
S
he then went to his grandmother's room. There are only three rooms upstairs the study room, Taehyung's room and his grandmother's room.
She opened the door and saw Taehyung lying on the bed sleeping.
He looks beat tired.
She walked towards the bed and sat on the edge. She stared at Taehyung's sleeping face. She can see the dark bags under his eyes and his few day whiskers.
He looks so lost.
She starts to comb his hair through her fingers, she caressed his cheeks and placed a soft kiss on the apples of his cheeks.
She'll let him take some rest.
She stood up and was about to leave the room when she felt her phone vibrate.
Someone is calling her, she identified the number as her auntie's who's living in U. S. She's her mother's sister.
When Sujeong's parents died they want to take her with them to States but Sujeong didn't want to leave Korea. So Yein's family took her in.
Her heart started beating fast, she's starts to feel nervous for some reason.
She answered the phone and brought the phone to her ears.
Her eyes starts to widened as her auntie said her message word by word, with wide eyes she looks at Taehyung who's sleeping on the bed.
What her auntie said kept ringing on her mind. And every minute her anxiety grows.
Why now? I can't leave Taehyung right now.
She said to herself. She's now starting to battle with her decisions.
We already found her Sujeong. We already found your sister.
