Chapter 9

Kassie's Pov

When we got to Friendlys, we went inside and got a table.

I sat next to Kyle and Claire sat next to Luke. Claire and I are inside of the booth.

"Hi I am Lauren I will be serving you today. So lets start off with drinks" Lauren said

"Coke" Kyle said

Lauren nodded and wrote it down.

"Lemonade" Claire said

Lauren nodded and wrote it down

"Root Beer" Luke said

Lauren nodded and wrote it down and then looked at me

"Coke" I said smiling

Lauren nodded and wrote it down and then left.

Kyle took my hand from underneath the table while we looked at the menu.

"Kassie" Luke said

"Yeah" I said looking at Luke

"How is Rebecca?" Luke asked

Rebecca is one of my other friends. Rebecca is sick and so at home from school.

"Her mom said she is getting better but she will be not be coming to school this week" I sad with a sad smiling

"I hope she comes next week." Luke said

"Why?" Kyle asked

"Because she is my best friend" Luke said

"Rebecca is..."

"Kyle" I said squeezing his hand

Kyle looked at me. "what?"

"Please don't not now. Rebecca, Luke, Claire and I are all best friends please just drop it please" I begged

Kyle kissed my forehead "sure for you"

"Thank you" I sighed

I looked at Claire she mouthed 'Thank you'

I nodded.

Lauren brought our drinks over to us.

Kyle wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me to him.

I put my head on his shoulder.

He started rubbing my shoulder to calm me down.

"So do we know what we want?" Lauren asked

Everyone nodded

"Ok" Lauren said pulling out her note pad.

"I would like the turkey club but instead of on a sandwich can I have it on a wrap?" I asked

"Yeah of course" Lauren said writing it down "fries?"

"Yes waffle fries please" I said

Lauren wrote it down. then looked at Kyle.

"Cheese Hamburger medium rare and waffle fries" Kyle said

Lauren nodded and wrote it down.

"Turkey club on a wrap please" Claire said smiling

Lauren nodded and wrote down Claire's order.

"Turkey melt with waffle fries please" Luke said

Lauren nodded and wrote it down and the left but before she left she gave Kyle something.

He opened it, rolled his eyes and then ripped it up.

"I will be right back" Kyle said to us and got up and went towards the bathrooms.

"What happened?" Claire asked me

"Lauren gave him her number" I said rolling my eyes.

"Don't she see that he had his arm around you and stuff like that" Claire said

"I guess she is blind" I said

Kyle came back couple minutes later.

"Sorry" Kyle whispered in my ear

"It is ok. You are handsome." I said smiling

"So you are not jealous?" Kyle asked

"Of course I am. I am your girlfriend. What do you think I would feel when someone gives you her number right infront of me" I said

"Kitten is a tiger." Kyle smirked.

"Oh shush" I said rolling my eyes.

5 minutes later our food came to us.

"Thank you" I said when I got my food.

"Thank you" Claire said when she got her food.

"Thank you" Luke said

"Thanks" Kyle said coldly.

"Your welcome" Lauren said

"Lauren" Kyle said

"Yeah?" Lauren said flirting

"Thanks but no thanks I have a girlfriend" Kyle said meanly

"Oh ok" Lauren said sadly and then gave me a death glare and left.

"Wow she is a bitch" Claire said

I nodded and started eating my wrap.

"Thank you for telling after she gave us our food at least" Claire said smiling

"What do you mean?" Kyle asked

"If you told her before getting our food she might of poison it or something" Claire said

"Yeah thank you" I said chuckling.

Kyle rolled his eyes at us.

"You're welcome" Kyle said.
