the majority of the thousands of notifications were likes, follows, and friendly comments.

the rest, however, were rude comments left by confused people.

"hey, ethan," i call him over from the almost empty pizza box.

"yeah?" he replies, taking a bite of the pineapple pizza.

"look, i think they're your fans?" i say in a questioning tone.

"oh, yeah i think so. probably because i followed you and they've never seen you before." he says smoothly.

"yeah, but theres a lot of hate here, too."

"oh, maybe you can be in one of our videos," he shrugs, taking another bite.

"yeah," i reply to him quietly, putting the empty solo cup in the trash. "wanna make cookies? i got cookie dough a few nights ago."

"sure," ethan says, going over to the fridge and getting it out.

"i forgot to get a pan, actually. whatever, im just going to eat it raw," i open the package of the dough and eat some.

"sounds good to me," ethan replies, laughing and getting some out for himself.

i smile again and get some more out to eat. grayson and amber are still just on the couch going through the different ending options. that could take forever.

i go back on my phone and tap through instagram stories, not really paying much attention to them. i dont care how much fun youre having outside, i enjoy sitting inside all day, thank you very much.

i get bored of tapping, so i leave the instagram app and turn off my phone. i see the time, 5:42, and decide that we should probably get food soon; it takes me a while to get ready.

"hey wanna get food?" i ask ethan, turning to face him.

"what? it's only 5:42?" he replies questioningly. i only smile.

"yeah but i want to at least look good. beauty takes time," i say, dramatically flipping my hair in the messy ponytail.

"tori, you look beautiful all the time," he replies quietly, "but i'll come with you to get ready if you want."

"great," i say, "let's go to my room."

i walk down the hall to my room with ethan following, and sit in front of my full length mirror, makeup surrounding it.

"so, ethan, what eye look should i do?" i ask him, while he sitson my bed behind me.

"i.. i don't really makeup." he replies flatly.

"yikes. guess we'll do a simple cut crease." i do my eyebrows first, brushing them out, then filling them in. ethan and i continue a conversation of small talk.

"no way, you still have this?" he asks out of the blue, and i look behind me in the reflection of the mirror. there, i see ethan holding uo the wooden picture frame, with that cheesy quote i know all too well.

"i mean yeah, i just never got rid of it," i reply, my attention turning back to my makeup. i hear him let out a chuckle, putting down the picture and pulling out his phone.

"ahhh noooo," i groan, making ethan look up. "my eybrows arent even close to being sisters."

"god, tori, they look fine." he replies, going back on his phone.

"no they dont i have to start over," i turn around to face him. "you dont even understand."

"no not really but james complains all the time."

"who's james?" i ask him, wondering why he thought i would know who that is.

"james charles? we're close friends," he replies, as if it weren't anything special.

"omg, you're literally kidding," i say with excitement laced in my voice, "i love james charles."

"yeah he's pretty cool. now hurry up and finish your makeup, its been 15 minutes and you've done nothing."

i groan again and do my light rose gold cut crease, taking a break from the eyebrows. after, i do foundation and concealer, then bake it. i take a deep breath then return to the eyebrows. they turn out pretty good, and i end up happy with my look.

"ok, i think im ready to go," i say finally.

"ugh took you forever. hey i invited some of my friends to go to dinner with us, is that ok?" he asks in response.

"yeah sounds good, i need some friends in LA." i smile, going to my closet. "now, what to wear."

i hear ethan groan from behind me.
