After having a wonderful family home evening lesson with my family I took the opportunity to watch 17 Miracles. Eighteen now and preparing to go on a mission in a few short months I had the great blessing and opportunity to attend trek.

When the river crossings were mentioned I couldn't help but cry as I reflected upon my own experience. I remember removing my shoes, socks, and stockings previous to entering the river. It was cold and wet and after a long walk, I welcomed its coolness.

When my company was through, which consisted of four girls and four boys, we sat down on nearby benches to replaced our removed footwear. Unbeknown to me I had obtained a blister on the outside of my right toe. I quickly informed my Ma of my handcart and was given a special skin bandaid to protect me from further pain or damage.

My second experience is where valiant men carried men, women, and children alike across a river frozen over with ice. My younger brother was with me and with a heart set to understand and know the experience of those who cross in the past I asked him to carry me across.

At that moment I was so very proud of him and knew if he had been the same circumstance as those faithful pioneers he would have been one of the men to carry those afraid and struggling across. A small and petite girl from his company he also carried across the river. And with a determination and love for his Saviour, he held her in his arms and staggered not diligently needing to follow the example of his loving Saviour above.

I know with all my heart and testimony that the events and occurrences that were displayed in 17 Miracles did indeed take place. Though their faith and testimonies were strong the miracles which occurred could not have taken place except for the infinite love and everlasting sacrifice of our loving savior even Jesus Christ.

I know that if we have faith in Him and rely upon His timing that we will be infinitely blessed and witness miracles in our lives and those close to us. I encourage you to watch 17 Miracles whether you have not seen it at all, or for a time, or just recently and to look for and reflect upon the blessings and miracles that have happened in your life because of diligently serving Him and keeping His commandments.

And if you can not recall miracles or blessings that have happened in your life I testify that if you pray unto Him CONTINUALLY opening your heart unto His spirit and love you will witness miracles and bless others. This I testify and bear witness to its truthfulness with all purpose of heart in the sacred name even our loving savior Jesus Christ Amen.
