Our footfalls were echoing throughout the buildings. It was a peaceful night, owls hooting, crickets chirping, car tires zooming on the road.

Paige have been walking for a while. Students were back in their dorms and sleeping.

"Wait. Haven, stop," Paige says, stopping in her tracks and looking around. "Do you hear that?"

I looked around in curiosity. "Hear what?"

A few seconds later I heard the murmur of a voice. Oh. The voice sounded like it belonged to a male.

Paige slowly walked towards the voice and motioned me to follow her. My footsteps started to match her own, and soon enough, we were getting closer to the voice.

The voice did belong to a male, but there wasn't just one. A different voice spoke after.

Paige was the first to look to see who it was. Her hair fell to her face as she leaning forward, on the edge of the wall. "Conner?" She stepped into full view and m towards them.

"What are you doing out here?" I hear Conner ask.

"What am I doing out here? What are you doing out here?"

I soon step beside Paige behind the wall so that my head and half of my body is poking out. I rested my hand against the brick and looked at them.

Apparently it wasn't two boys. It was four. Two of the boys were brunettes, one of them was a red head, and the other had black hair.

"Well, hello," the redhead greeted with a devilish smirk.

I smiled awkwardly at him. "Hi."

Paige swung her head to look at me. "Guys, this is my new roommate, Haven. Haven," she pointed towards a brunette,"that's Conner," she pointed towards the the redhead,"Miles," she pointed towards the guy with black hair,"Nate," and finally she points towards the other brunette,"And lastly, Logan."

Logan looked oddly familiar. The expression on his face soon reminded me. He was the guy I was looking at at the assembly earlier.

"Haven," Miles said, testing my name. "A pretty name for a pretty girl."

He was soon smacked on the back of his head by Logan. "Miles, you've already scared half of the girls on campus, don't scare her away," Logan said while Miles put a hand to his now aching head.

Paige stood there observing the two before she said,"So, where were you guys heading? We're not suppose to be outside campus around this hour."

"Just somewhere to get celebrate," Nate said.

"Celebrate for what?"

"Just a celebration for being with the gang again," Nate said looking back at Miles still holding his head. "We're making a tradition."

"Now since we've answered your question, you need to answer ours." Conner smirked at Paige.

Paige blushed before she spoke. "Just wanting to get out of our room, show Haven around campus, that sort of thing."

"Well, since you aren't really doing anything, why don't you two join us on our celebration?"

Paige looked at me with the look that said do you want to go?

All four boys included Paige looked at me. I was put on the spot. Great. "Sure. Why not," I answered. I looked at Logan and he still had that nonchalant expression on his face.

"The more the merrier," Conner stated with a smile on his face. "Come on, let's go. Car's around back."

Paige and I nodded and followed the four boys. Apparently, the car was pretty far since it felt like we were walking for ages.

After which felt like miles of walking, Conner took out his keys from his pocket, pressed something, and a black SUV's headlights lit up. Conner and Paige sat in the front seats, Nate and Miles sat in the second row, so that means Logan and I have to sit in the third row.

Nate pulled back his seat to let us in the back. I mumbled a thanks and climbed in. Logan followed behind me and I strapped my seatbelt on.

"Friendly reminder, don't use the second seatbelt lock," Logan says, tapping the gray seatbelt lock. "I don't feel like breaking you out of it. Use it, and you're on you're own."

I gave a confused look before Nate explained. What's his problem?

"Yeah, there's something wrong with the lock. It won't let you out when you try to unlock it."

I nodded and closely examined where he said not to lock my seatbelt in.

The car roared to life, and a slight breeze of wind came from the AC. Conner backed up the car and zoomed out of the student parking lot.

"Where are we going?" Paige asked.

"Blue Moons," Conner answered turning towards the road.

"Blue Moons?"

I tried to resist the urge of pulling out my phone and googling what it was. "What's that?" I ask from the back.

"Wow, she has vocal cords," Logan says.

"Logan, stop," Conner warns. He glances at me through his rear view mirror. "It's a club downtown."

"A club that we went to last year and ended up getting kicked out because someone couldn't keep their hands to themselves," Paige says, eyeing Logan.

Logan holds up his hands in defense and looks at Paige. "Hey. I didn't know that was his girlfriend. He started it."

"They were in front of us when we came in," Miles since he got hit on the head earlier.

"I didn't know. I don't look at people in front of us."

"I find the people there very," Paige paused, tapping a finger to her chin. "What's the word?"

"Rude?" Conner guessed.

"No."

"Disgusting?" Miles guessed

"No."

"Touchy?" Logan guessed with a smirk.

She turned around from her seat and pointed a finger at him. "Yes and no."

"Hot-headed?" guessed.

"Yes," Paige said. "Well, people there are drunk, but it still doesn't feel safe there."

"Don't worry. We'll keep our hands to ourselves this time. Right?" Conner looked through the re argued mirror at Logan.

Logan had his arms crossed and his eyebrow raised. "Why am I the only person being picked on?" He pointed to Miles. "Mr. Touchy here did it too."

"Yeah, well, that's something we expect from Miles," Nate mumbles looking out the window. "Don't be surprised."

This'll be quite a trip.
