the adoption (part 1)

Rikers POV

"okay, so the pet store is close by to the adoption home, so we'll go there then go check out the adoption home then we'll take her to buy stuff for her room" i said. "i cant wait to have a sister!" Alicia exclaimed.we parked our car by the pet store and went in. there were turtles and fish and hampsters and cats and dogs. "ok Alicia, im gonna give you this bag, you go pick out some stuff that you want for your kitten while me and mommy go look at the dogs, okay?" i said. she nodded her head, took the bag and left.

i looked around for a while but i didnt find a good enough dog. but i stopped at one that was a small brown and black dog. it looked so cute. "Ashley, come over here" i ordered. "awww, its so cute!" she giggled. "you like it?" a lady asked. we turned around to look at her. "yeah, were looking for a playful family dog thats good with children" i said. she took the dog out of his cage and handed it to Ashley.

"his name is Caleb, and hes very good with children, but hes very shy so it might take a couple of days for him to get used to you" she exclaimed. "ok, just let me go get my daughter" i said and rushed off to find Alicia. she was over looking at some cat toys. "Alicia, we found a dog, wanna come see it?" i asked. she nodded her head and we went over to where Ashley and the dog were.

"Alicia, this is Caleb, hes a good dog,but hes shy, okay" Ashley explained and put him in Alicias arms. "hes cute" Alicia said and rubbed behind his ears. "We'll take him" i said and paid for him.

we went around looking for stuff for the cat and dog. when we were done, we got all of the bags and put them in the trunk of the car. Alicia was still carrying Toby. we told her that she had to leave Toby in the cage we bought just in case some of the kids had allergies.

we went in and was greeted by a lady with red hair and green eyes with glasses. "hi, were looking for a girl ages 10-13" Ashley exclaimed. she smiled and looked down at a piece of paper. "follow me" she smiled and lead us to a couple rooms.

we almost spent the entire day there. one girl started freaking out and one girl started throwing stuff. one girl got really angry and two other girls were allergic to cats and dogs. one didnt seem very nice and one was too much of a snob. one whined and yelled and screached and screamed too much. and one wouldnt even talk to anyone.

we stopped at this one girls room, she had pretty brown hair and she seemed calm, she was reading a book with her glasses on, once she saw us, she seemed very shy.
