- || Brian's Perspective || -
All I could smell was dental water, toothpaste, and rubber - or plastic. I rubbed at my mouth before hearing my name called from inside of a door. It opened to a young woman calling me in, I was obviously ready for my dental appointment.
" Brian Harold May! Your Dental Student Is Ready. You Can Proceed To The Room. "
Wondering why I had a dental student, a student around my age, I slowly got up and padded next to the woman. She whispered into my ear.
" He's Training, So Go Easy On Him - He Ain't A Toughian. "
I blushed a bit.
A male! I started to wonder what he would look like. I didn't tell you I was gay. I gently froze up, not making it so obvious.
As we strolled into the dental water smelling area, the woman spoke another whisper in my ear.
" He's Hopefully Going To Give You An Easy Checkup - Nothing Bad, Just To Check On Your Teeth. "
I nodded my head, making a humming noise to suggest the word " Yes. " I started to gulp, trying to get all the stupid Love things out of my head. It's just a trip to the dentists, not a date.
I finally came to a booth where I could see the back of a slightly quaking young man, about my age, washing his hands and trying not to make eye contact as the woman kindly spoke.
" Roger, This Is Your Patient. You Will Be Doing Him Today, Okay? "
" Y - Yes..Okay.. "
I felt a shiver go down my neck as I listened to his gentle, husky voice. It controlled my ears like a remote. Roger sat me down on the dental chair, and started to prepare his tools. I couldn't help but stare at his gorgeous golden locks of hair, and his sea blue eyes.
' Just A Dental Appointment ' I repeated in my head. ' Not A Date, Resist The Temptations, Brian. '
He tapped quietly over to me, hovering over my face. I tried not to blush. " So, What Is Your Name? " he softly said, strapping the dental mask over his face, I felt my heart burn gently.
" I'm Brian. Brian May. "
Roger and I looked into each others eyes for a long moment. I felt mine twinkle, and his too. I felt his face get closer to mine, and my eyes widened in shock, I let him get close until a sharp voice interrupted him.
" Roger Meddows Taylor! Get On With It! "
" Oh, Yes, Yes, O - Okay...! "
He put some gloves on, took a little toothpick, and asked me to open my mouth. I did so with a quiet groan. As he put his gloved fingers into my mouth, I started to redden across the bridge of my face.
Suddenly, I felt a hand almost wrap around me, travelling up to my neck and stroking it. I froze up as he continued to massage around my neck. My breath quietly hitched in my throat, and at that hearing, he took his hands off me. " S - Sorry. I Don't Know What Got Into Me. "
" It's Alright, Mr. " I gently sighed in relief. I watched a soft grin form across his cheeks. " You Can Call Me Roger, Brian. "
I nodded kindly and let him proceed in my mouth. I watched his lazy, diamond eyes dot across my teeth before he pulled away, writing down at a note. He handed it to me as I got up. It did not say what I was expecting.
" Your Teeth Are Fine, Jeez.
Want Me To Walk You Home? "
That's what it read.
I blushed as I read it, looking up at his cheeky, grinning face. I felt my heart pound gently in my chest as he gruffly spoke again. " I've Got The Rest Of The Day Off. "
" T - That's Great..Maybe You Could, Roger. That'd Be Nice. " I weakly grinned. I stepped cautiously over to him, where he took my hand - Yes, my hand, and led me out of the building. I noticed he looked at me in my eyes a lot, but I did too. I could feel it in my heart that I could already be crushing on a guy I just met.
" So... " I murmured gently, not making eye contact. My hand trembled in his, and I hid It so nobody thought we were dating..yet. " You...You're...A Dental..Student..Yes? " Roger gave a gentle chuckle, tilting his head towards me. " Of Course! I Also To Drumming. "
My eyes lit up. A drummer! I'm a guitarist, he's a drummer, I thought.
" I - I - Play Guitar! " I spluttered out, grinning proudly. He gasped quietly in awe. " You Must Be Great! I Bet Your A Great Guy. "
I blushed across my cheeks.
" Maybe. " I smiled as we got to my apartment. I let him in, and sat him down at my couch. Boiling a kettle, i got out two cups, setting them down to sit next to my crush. I was desperate to ask him what sexuality he was, but that in my opinion would be a bad idea, saying we've only just met.
Roger Meddows slouched across my sofa, yawning toothily, but gently. He tugged me closer to his head, resting his head on my chest - what a start! I blushed a bit as he pulled himself up, cuddling into me like we had known eachother since forever. I liked that, and cuddled onto him the same.
" Do You Have A Job, Bri? "
" Bri? "
" It's A Cute Nickname. I Think You Should Be Referred As ' Bri. ' "
I blushed at that, at the fact he had called that nickname cute, and given it to me. Maybe I knew his sexuality already - maybe he was like me..?
" Well, I'm An Astrophysicist - I Study The Stars And All That. " I said, almost showing off now. I felt like I needed to do that to really get him into me. I felt a little guilty of that, but it made me look quite smart. He let out another silent gasp. " Wow! You Must Be Really Smart Then! "
I nodded eagerly, but quickly, so I didn't look like an attention grab.
After we had finished up talking and drinking, he left, planting a quick kiss on my cheek. No, we're we're not dating yet, but something told me we would have a great relationship if we were ever to start dating - he revealed his sexuality to me too - gay, like me. God, I think I love him.
