Paper Planes

What an unexpected surprise.

Gene finally took his hand out of the pond and stretched his fingers out. His hand -still a deep red- hurt less than it did before. He stood and Frank followed suit.
"We'd better wait for your friends to arrive. Just to make sure we don't get lost, let's stay here." She said and looked at Gene who nodded.

The two were waiting for around 5 minutes before someone up ahead began to laugh. Purple smoke slithered it's way between Frank and Gene and burst, blasting the two away from each other. Gene landed in a patch of yellow and pink flowers, pollen getting all over his suit and tickled his nose. Frank fell into the pond, her painting landing in the other side. Babakara appeared, cackling at the two.
"What an unexpected surprise Babakara-" Gene murmured and sat up, trying his best not to sneeze but failed. More pollen flew into the air as he let out a loud sneeze. Frank managed to get back to the water surface and looked at the witch. She'd never seen one before.
"Well, I saw you and noticed that you're all alone! And that you are injured...PERFECT time strike!" She waved her staff and pointed it at Gene who fell back again into the flowers.
"Oof..."

Babakara looked over at the pond too see Frank trying scrambling out to help Gene, but Babakara wasn't having it.
"Nu uh missy. You're coming with me!" She aimed at her and cast a spell that trapped her in a bubble. Frank fell to her knees and tried to break the bubble best as she could, but nothing happened.
"Now with her...they'll give me anything to get her back! Hahaha!" And with that, Babakara hopped into her staff and flew away, the purple bubble containing Frank floating behind her.
"Gene!! Help!! Gene!!" Frank cried out. Gene managed to keep his eyes open to see her fly away with Frank, but he grew too tired. Babakara cast a sleeping spell on him, he was too tired to move or call out. Blackness.

"Gene, Gene! Wake up!" Gene sat up. Alex, Ruby and Twinkle stood around him looking rather rough. Alex hoisted Gene back up as he rubbed his head and dusted off his suit.
"Are you okay Gene? What happened?" Gene looked behind him and saw the painting. He ran over.
"Babakara appeared. She stunned me and took Frank!" Gene exclaimed as he held the painting. Twinkle gasped and covered her mouth.
"Babakara? Why would she want Frank?"
"No clue, but we gotta go save her, who knows why she took her." Alex said and ran to the chameleon. Everyone bustled inside and shut the door. Gene taking the front seat -as usual- and the others sitting nearby. Gene drove off to Babakara's house, but on the way it wasn't fun.
"Trolls!" Alex yelled and Gene pushed on the breakers, causing everything to fly forward.
"Ow..."
The trolls looked over and growled, each one plodding it's way closer to the chameleon, ready to attack it.
"Reverse Gene! Reverse!" Gene quickly reversed out and drifted back the right way before speeding off again.
"Babakara must know we're coming She she's left traps out! We're doomed!" Twinkle cried and squeezed Alien tightly. Gene furrowed his brows as the chameleon got faster and faster.
"Woah Gene! Be careful!" Ruby said and held onto her seat tightly. Alex looked at Gene, knowing he wasn't paying attention to her.

"Gen- GENE LOOK OUT!" Everyone screamed as the chameleon tried to stop but fell sideways and tumbled towards a cliff edge. It fell and landed with a loud CRASH.
