Chapter 3

"Let's hope the moon goddess can help us make the right decision." I said as I looked at the sky.

Who knew that my savior was coming soon.

Welryn POV

My pack is very bountiful, with animals with great furs and plants that give us plenty. The soil is rich, while the plentiful stream gives us water during every season. The mountains give us an advantage for any human could not make the trip up them.

I've been in this maze of trees for three days now because I want to find the best animal for my soulmate. I'm going to see the seer after I return so she can tell me where I can find her. I creeped closer to the large bear while it was too busy eating at the deer I killed for its meat and fur.

I pulled out my sword while trying to make as little noise as possible. The bear than finally noticed me as I jumped on its back. It goes on its hind leg to try and get me off its back but I refuse to let go as I bring my sword back and with full force bring it down on the bear's back. The large beast fell because the sword went right through its heart.

I then looked at the deer I killed earlier and realized I can't use any of it. I growled that was a very nice buck. I quickly grab the bear and head towards my pack.

As I approached the drum sound that signaled my return. I enter my pack with my prize on my back. Many eyes are shown with pride and others with fear. They see what I can do and are scared. I start to skin my reward. Many watch me as I skin the beast, they are proud that they have a great leader, who can provide for their queen.

That reminded me that I need to see the seer, so I walk back into my tent to clean the blood off my hands. As I walk out my pack is still watching me, but one growl from me stops the staring very quickly.

I travel down the dirt path towards the seer. The trees have the apprentice of winter, ice hanging from the tree's limbs. As I get closer, I can smell the soup cooking that will be the seers dinner. Before I get the chance to open the tent I hear the seers voice from the inside,

"I knew you were coming." Said our seer, Sadira as I entered her tent while her back was to me.

"If you knew I was coming then you should know what I want to know." I said.

"Ah yes, your soulmate. Well sense she will be our queen, I'm going to tell you but what you hear you might not like."

"What? Why?" I asked as I stepped closer inside

"Well, she is supposed to be sent off to marry but her parents have refused. Sense they refused the man has given them a fortnight to change their mind. " She said as she moved along her tent to grab spices and herbs. I remain silent but am growling and I am furious that I was not informed sooner.

"Where does she live? I will go there and destroy this man, who thinks he can take what's mine!" I growled as I tried to keep the wolf side at bay.

"She lives in the village of Kallekot. But be careful my Chief, the man you wish to kill is like you. Man and beast."

Kallekot is a very far journey and this man wants her to be his. That will never happen. With a nod to Sadira, I left her tent, with a new task at hand. I grab just a handful of my strongest men to get my mate with me and kill the other beast.
