After pacing and debating for 5 long minutes, I finally decide to go out to the living room and ask Jonah more about his injuries.

There was only one slight problem when walking to the living room: Jonah fell asleep.

While I let Jonah sleep, I go back into my room and rearrange some things that i felt needed to be changed around. A few minutes later, I hear a knock on my closed door.

"Come in."

It was Jonah, of course.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?" He asks with a nervous look on his face. Why did he seem so nervous?

"Of course," I say a little too cheerfully.

I follow him out to the living room couch.

"So I wanted to ask you something," He says.

"I wanted to actually ask you something too," I say back.

"Oh, go ahead, you first." He says, allowing me to speak first.

"First of all, let me just say that you don't have to answer this if it's too personal. I was just more curious as to what happened when you were first injured," He says.

Jonah seemed a little taken aback at first, but he didn't question my curiosity.

"Well, this happened a very long time ago, so it might not be completely accurate," he first stated. "So I was married to a beautiful young lady named Jules. She was in the hospital and had just given birth to our beautiful baby girl. During the birth, she died and it was too much pain to bear, so I jumped off the roof thinking my life would be over and I would get to be with Jules again. But I was wrong because I somehow survived the huge fall. And since then I haven't been able to walk normally." He spoke with a slightly shaky voice.

"Awhh that's so horrible! I bet Jules was absolutely beautiful!" I say with positivity.

"She was," Jonah says looking down at the floor. "Anyway, umm. So I was gonna ask about you, and what you have been through in your life."

"Ohh okay. Well umm, I was put in a foster home because I was abandoned by both of my parents on a roof of a hospital, and I've been living and working there until a few days ago." Jonah gives me a weird and stunned look but I wait to acknowledge it until the end of my story. "I left because I was so fed up of being controlled of what i could and couldn't do. But i didn't realize how hard it would be to be out in the real world. And now i'm here, happy and free," I finish.

"Wait, so your parents just left you on a roof of a hospital?!" Jonah asks with a worried look on his face. He also started to become a little pale.

"Yeah. Oh, also, what was your daughter's name?" I ask not thinking about all of the coincidences betweeen Jonah and I.

"Her name was umm... Jasmine," Jonah says to me, looking even more pale.

"Are you okay?" I ask, still not thinking about the coincidences.

"Yeah i'm fine. But Jasmine, how are you not weirded out?" He asks with a slightly loud tone.

"Weirded out about what?" I ask, confused and wanting him to explain more.

"I abandoned my daughter named Jasmine on a roof of a hospital. You're named Jasmine and we're abandoned on the roof of a hospital."

"Jonah, I'm sure it's just a random coincidence," I say not worrying about it.

It was late at night, and I was exhausted, and I wanted to go to bed, and that's what I did. Jonah remains on the couch watching tv and eating some almonds.

I crawl into bed, and all my thoughts just now come into full circle. Could Jonah actually be my dad? Could he be the one who abandoned me afte rmy mom passing away?

I run back out to the living room where Jonah remains.

"JONAH!!!" I yell.

"Yes?" He says nonchalantly.

"Did Jules almost marry another guy who was the father of this child???" I ask with a pale face.

"Yeah, his name was Zach. Why?" He asks calmly once again.

"No. Way."

"What's the big de- oh my gosh." He says, realizing what has happened.

"Oh my gosh. When Zach left, you were the one who took legal guardianship of me." I say, starting to ear up.

"Holy shit. I knew it was you. I think I finally found my daughter again!!!"
