I left the note on the kitchen counter next to Jonah's coffee maker, and I was out the door.
It was a beautiful overcast day. During my walk to the store, I just kept looking at the beautiful picturesque sky. Because it was so early, and the clouds were starting to fade away, the sunrise made the sky look so colorful. Tints of blue, orange, pink, purple, and grey filled the air with nothing but aesthetics.
After 30 minutes of looking at the sky while walking, I reach my destination. I walk into the store and head straight for the home section. The first decoration that stands out to me is a beautiful dark wooden sign with blue lettering saying stay humble, work hard, be kind. This is a saying I've lived by my whole life, so I knew I had to get it. I set the sign inside my shopping cart, and I continue to the aisle with the hair brushes.
As I enter the aisle of brushes and hair materials, I accidentally almost hit a guy in the hip with my cart.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" He says to me as if he was the one who did something wrong.
"You're fine, it want your fault. I should have watched where I was going," I say as I reach for my wallet.
I look up at the guy, and he is probably the most good looking guy I have ever come across in my whole life. He was pretty tall, and seemed well built for looking as scrawny as he did. He had shiny dark brown hair, very pale skin, rosy cheeks, and a huge unique smile that lit up his rosy cheeks from ear to ear. He may have looked like a normal guy to others, but if you ask me, I fell in love at the first sight of him.
"Could you just watch where you put your cart next"-
He stops what he's saying when he looked up at me. Well, actually when he looked down at me. He was so tall that he could still be slightly looking down at me even if he fully bent his knees. Anyways, he gave me a rather similar look when I looked up at him.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. I take back everything I just said." He says, feeling guilty for what he had just said.
"What's your name?" The gorgeous brunette asks me.
"I'm Jasmine. What's yours?" I ask in return.
"I'm Travis. Can I just say, you're rather beautiful," he says shyly once again.
"Awhh well you're not so bad yourself," I say with confidence.
"Thanks, haha. Well I would love to get your number. We should try to hang out sometime."
"Yeah I agree."
Travis and I exchange numbers before heading out separate ways.
"Thanks for almost running your cart into my hip so we could meet, Jasmine," He says jokingly.
I let out a small yet classic Valley Girl giggle. "Thank you for not getting pissed off at me afterwards," I say as a salutation to our in-person conversation.
I walk to the check-out lanes, and I couldn't keep a smile off of my face. I was happy to be making another friend, especially a guy friend. I've never had a super close guy friend in my whole life; I've mainly been around several girls.
As I finish checking out, the smile still sticks on my face. My cheeks were in immense pain but I couldn't help but not smile. And getting a text while walking home from the store just made my smile even bigger.
Travis

"What are you all smiley about?" Jonah asks curiously.
